This is a very nice B&B in an area of Bloomington I'd never explored before. But what really made my stay stand out was the truly excellent breakfast and the wonderful whirlpool tub. Wonderful way to relax in these stressful times!
This was our first time visiting and we were amazed with the warmth of the hosts⊠learning about our reason to visit, our dietary preferences, accommodating an earlier breakfast and overall attention to details. Enjoyed and will be back.
Such a hidden gem in Bloomington. Staff was so kind and the breakfasts were outstanding. Will definitely stay again whenever we visit our daughter in Bloomington.
This property was clean and and sweet, and the owner's nice mother in law checks you in. It is fine but if you are a light sleeper like me may not be for you. The walls are very thin and you can hear a TV played quietly in the next room. There is no staff on site. It felt very isolated to me in the winter.
We wish we had discovered it sooner! Staff was amazing; rooms and entire home was comfy and inviting; Sallyâs cooking was awesome. We will definitely try to stay again the next time weâre in the area.
Very much locally run. Great food and staff, but other things were not so great. Given the wrong room at check in. Bed not so comfortable. LOUD HVAC system. Thin walls. Not much to do around the B&B.
Upside is coffee, tea soft drinks & water always available. Snacks and chocolates in your room. Fireplaces in rooms. Bloomington is just a 10 drive straight up the road.
Room 3 is right over the furnace making so much intermittent noise that one could not sleep through the night. The packaged food left for breakfast was a year out dated.
Our stay at Wampler House was so nice, relaxing, and enjoyable! The staff was very kind and anything we needed we would just text them about and they would tell us where in the house to find it!
What a lovely bed and breakfast! We came in for Homecoming and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The entire facility was sparkling clean, and the hospitality of the staff was superb! It was off the beaten path, but an easy drive to campus. I would definitely recommend the Wampler House to anyone looking for a unique experience. They will make you feel right at home.
First time wife and i did a bed and breakfast. Really wanted for the in room jacuzzi but it was difficult to get in and out of as it was crammed into the bathroom and no rails for support Guess i am just use to hotels and or air bnb types where you have plenty of room. Bed matress was eh.no little fridge for those that would be traveling. Breakfast next morning was interesting fried egg and apple crepes with bacon. Was not what i was expecting but it was really good!!
We had an amazing stay! The house was so clean and the availability of tea/coffee anytime was great. Breakfast during the week was such a nice spread with fresh fruit and warm hardboiled eggs - along with bagels, sweet bread and more.
We will be back when we visit family.
