We sat on the porch in the morning with coffee and orange juice. In the evenings we would sit on the porch with a more adult beverage. Watching and listening to the river. The most peaceful time I have ever had .Thank You for that. Bill and Carol
Cozy cabin on the river with stunning views! It was the perfect to connect with each other and nature. The hosts were respectful and responsive. We will surly consider staying here again if the opportunity arises.
Parking was a little difficult.Once in shower there is no handle to get back out.I think you have rodents in your wall.Very minor issues. Loved the view. Loved stay here
We loved this cabin! Such a great place to relax and recharge. It was about 100 outside but being right on the river kept it pleasant and as soon as the sun starts to fade it cools way down. You can open the house up in the morning to capture the crisp morning air to keep the place cool all day. Takoda's and Blue Sky Market are super close, you could walk if you wanted to. Takoda's if a great place for lunch and dinner (and a tasty Bloody Mary). Thank you Jonathan and Lisa for a wonderful place to stay. Can't wait to visit again!
The River Haven was a wonderful place to stay for a weekend getaway with friends. The sound of the river made it so tranquil and the house is cute and cozy. It was great to have a well-stocked kitchen and a TV to watch movies. The location is amazing - so close to Terwilliger Hot Springs, Sahalie/Koosah Falls, Proxy Falls, Clear Lake... Don't miss the scenic drive to Sisters on the McKenzie Pass-Santiam Pass Scenic Byway. Would definitely stay again! Thanks!!
Cute, clean, amazing views from patio and huge windows, private and stocked with everything you need! Access to river from property for fishing is not easy. The water is moving very fast and the waterfront is overgrown with no real places to stand.
My husband, two sons (ages 11 and 13), and I had a wonderful stay at this home. The location couldnât have been better for the numerous day hikes that we took, and we appreciated that everything at the home was so clean, comfortable, and well stocked with essential items.
This really is a river haven. Unbelievable location that prioritizes river views and sounds. This place has almost everything you'll need: a well-stocked kitchen, linens, towels, washer/dryer, and a fireplace. A note on the fireplace: you'll probably want to get a firestarter kit and a duraflame log from the local market. The wood was pretty stubborn to burn, and we aren't sure if it was the wood or the fireplace that was the problem. In any csse, we were able to get the fire going with the items I mentioned. We did whitewater rafting during our stay through High Country Expeditions. The meeting place is about 5 minutes from the home - highly recommended, even in colder weather. There are also lots of hot springs within a 20 minute drive, and the Sahalie and Koosah waterfalls are about 25 minutes away. We would have done Blue Pool if weather had allowed - the trailhead is 20 minutes away and is a 4 mile (total) out and back moderate hike.Be sure to stock up on groceries in town (Winco in Springfield is my recommendation), as the market can be expensive. Also check out Vida Cafe for breakfast. It's locally owned and operated, and had some of the best lemon marionberry we've ever had. My boyfriend and I will be back.
Stayed here with my daughter to heal from a procedure. I was able to check in early (maybe too early) but the owner was extremely accommodating! We painted on the patio, tried to fish, and enjoyed the fire at night. Beautiful property! Thank you!
This was definately the cleanest and most organized place we've stayed anywhere. The owners have left lots of games, puzzles, movies etc. Great access to the river and close by many other activities. We can't wait to return to this cabin this summer!
We had an incredibly enjoyable and wonderful time here. Everything was excellent and perfect, except that the sofa cushions were a bit too soft, causing some back pain. Itâs a pleasant stay!
The setting would be hard to surpass. Took a while to figure out the fireplace, but it worked great. Loved the instant hot water, shower, and the water pressure was a treat. The host went over and beyond as I became confused at checkout and an issue occurred involving the key. Would stay there again in a minute.
This was the perfect place to stay for hiking and biking and being right on the river was a treat. There are so many places to explore so we will be back. We had whole coffee beans, and couldn't find a grinder at the place. The host kindly brought one over for us.
