We enjoyed our stay at the Stonewood. This was our third stay.

We loved our stay at the Stonewood. The accommodations were exceptional as expected for our group of seven. This was the third stay for our group. We enjoyed the hot tub, which is always on our cottage check list. We liked the proximity to the town of Bayfield, where we were able to walk to the downtown to go shopping and stay for dinner. We are already considering our next stay.

Clean, spacious, well equipped, great communication. All one floor good for seniors. Every room has its own bathroom great for family gatherings. Gorgeous fall colours.

A short stay in bayfield

The Stonewood was beautiful located in quite bayfield nestled in the trees it’s a stones throw from town and a quick ride to Goderich and Grand Bend. The Stonewood with it’s impressive size has ample room for a large family or a group of friends with four bedrooms an ensuite with all for privacy and three bedrooms located on one end ensure quite and privacy at night . Beautiful place to stay with a lot to do on and off the property.

We had an absolutely nice stay. The cottage is and has everything what it is described. It’s a very nice family cottage and lots of room to play. Kitchen is the perfect kitchen for cooking to large family gatherings. Cottage stay (Jennifer and the others ) were just a message away.

We had a fabulous girls’ weekend at an awesome cottage in Bayfield!

This is the second time that we rented the Stonewood. We loved the spacious accommodations which included four good-sized bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, which is something that a group of women did appreciate! The large, well-appointed kitchen allows for food prep and entertaining. We enjoyed the use of the hot tub each day and look forward to using the pool in a future stay. The CottageStays’ staff were very attentive with a welcome text and were available to answer any questions. We are considering a summer rental at this cottage as well.

An amazing girls’ weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend. The accommodations at The Stonewood were excellent! The kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed. Having an ensuite bathroom with each of the four bedrooms was such a bonus, and the in-floor heating made the cottage feel cosy! We also enjoyed the use of the hot tub. We were within walking distance of Bayfield and took a walk into town to go shopping one afternoon and then walked again to a restaurant for dinner. The CottageStays staff were very attentive and checked in to see how we were doing and to see if we had any questions. Our group is already planning our next weekend getaway at The Stonewood!

Stunning and picturesque cottage nestled in a serene treed oasis.

Luxurious cottage with excellent amenities inside and out. It offers both large spaces for family gatherings and warm and private areas as well. It felt like home the second we walked in the door. The kitchen and dining area was a dream to be in. It was the perfect gathering place to share stories, laugh, cook together and play games. A source of our fondest and heartwarming memories. The incredible backyard was so beautiful and quiet. Perfect in everyway.We enjoyed having campfires and the warmth of the hot tub on the cool and damp evenings. We are so grateful all members of our family were welcomed here especially our 4 legged guy Hank. A beautiful and wonderful experience from start to finish. Thank you so much

We just returned from a week at Stonewood. We had a great time! Best week of this summer! We specifically booked this house for the pool and hot tub and being so close to the lake was an added bonus. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfy. The beach was almost always empty and the water was warm this time of year. Don’t forget your water shoes! It makes all the difference walking over the rocks at the shore but once you hit the sand, it is glorious! The property was very private and very quiet, which was a nice change from the city. Lots of great spots to walk the dog in the neighbourhood. Jennifer was very responsive and helped us with getting the pool cleaned after a bad storm. Location is excellent with the cute town of Bayfield within walking distance. We enjoyed the restaurants and ice cream shops. We will definitely be back again next year if not sooner!
