Cozy, comfortable, historic cottage in beautiful shaded location with view of Bodega Bay. Well appointed kitchen and bath, very comfortable furniture. Pleasant fenced yard/patio and east parking. Wild turkeys and hummingbirds present. Didn't see the deer, but their tracks were evident. Pleasant, helpful host. Great stay!
The house backs up to a Eucalyptus grove. A trio of wild turkeys regularly visited. The house was comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay very much.
We booked this place as a homebase to explore Bodega Bay, Bodega, and Occidental for a Hitchcock lover's birthday weekend. The property was easy to find and absolutely charming! It had everything we needed for two couples and a small pup to enjoy for the weekend. Walking down to the foggy marina or along the road in the morning was magical and we loved the fenced in area for the dog to hang off leash. The smell of eucalyptus greets you when you walk out and there's a lovely view of the harbor.
My teenage granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It feels a bit like youâre going back to a simpler time with everything you need but nothing fancy. The home was clean and perfectly peaceful. We listened to the birds saw a bald eagle in the trees next door heard a great horned owl, deer came through alongside some wild turkeys. I would definitely stay again. The Smart TV was able to provide some great Netflix movies while we did a few art projects together.
We enjoyed the stay, it was a very nice experience. There was some wildlife walking around, like turkeys and deer and quail. And it was very peaceful, next time we come back we will definitely try to book this place again
We had such a lovely time at Harbor Kee. The farmhouse reminds me of one in which I spent many happy times as a child. The location was perfect for our hikes to the bay and Bodega Head, and over the dunes to the beach - as well as getting to Fishetarian and The Birds Cafe, which we love. The yard was so quiet and peaceful and a wonderful place to hang out and watch the wild turkeys. To our amazement, we also were fortunate enough to see a pair of bald eagles in the tree across from the property! It was a once in a lifetime experience!
We loved the historic feel of the house. The yard was so cool with wild turkeys and deer walking through. Mature trees, comfortable rooms, nice fenced in yard for our dog, laundry available. We could hear the sea lions and the fog horn. We enjoyed our time here!
This property is a lovingly restored farmhouse from the late 1800s. It maintains its sense of being from an earlier era while having enough updates to make it comfortable for us in this current era. Located on a hill above the main road, it is quiet and peaceful, with nice outdoor spaces for humans, quail, turkeys, and more. We really enjoyed being here!
We loved staying in this peaceful, relaxing, historic farmhouse. Loved reading the history about the property, and seeing all the work that was put into the restoration of this amazing home. Love the wildlife coming right to the door, including the talking turkey! Our only regret was having to leave! We will definitely be back if Jodie will have us.
Great little house!! Could use an upgrade on beds & couches. Not the most comfortable. Max thermostat should be raised to at least 67...65 was a bit cold!!
Otherwise, loved the place. Property was great for our dog!!
A bit funky, but some modernization that makes the house comfortable. You canât beat the fresh bay air, eucalyptus trees, turkey ramblersâŠ. Another rental next door could perhaps alter your peacefulness, but all was good for our stay and we would like to return again.
We loved our stay. Bodega Bay is a lovely community where animals outnumber people. Sea birds, turkeys, deer, seals⊠House is cozy, clean, and simple. Responses from host were fast and helpful. The pictures donât do this stay justice.
Wonderful property. Very quiet and peaceful. Lots of wild life every morning, deer and turkeys and seals barking in the harbor! The property is very clean and comfortable. The host, Jodie, is very nice and goes above and beyond to make sure that your stay is wonderful.
The four of us came together at Bodega Bay to rest and relax and see some California sites! We thoroughly enjoyed the Armstrong Redwoods, whale watching, ocean sunsets, âThe Birdsâ sites( and then watched the movie!!). We also enjoyed some games around the patio table and the kitchen table. Found some great food and made some great food! We feel blessed and thankful for our time together( with no stress!)
Thank you!
The house is located in a wooded area full of deer, turkeys, quail and birds of all kinds, all of whom pass by the house and make wonderful company while you're enjoying the porch or the living room. The kitchen is nicely appointed and roomy. A two minute walk down the hill brings you to two casual and delicious seafood eateries -- Fisherman's Cove and Spud Point Crab Company -- and a marina where I saw sea lions swimming between the piers. It's a short drive to Bodega Head in one direction and Doran Regional Park in the other. Jodie is a great host, very responsive and quick to answer any questions or concerns. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Jodie is a great host and her cottage is tucked away surrounded by wildlife. Our friend also stayed with us and, as an avid bird-watcher, he was thrilled with all of the nests nearby. Our family would definitely stay here again.
What an amazing getaway! Staying in this restored old farmhouse, was so relaxing, so quiet, the nature was amazing, the house was spotless and comfy, perfect location as well. Would not hesitate to recommend to anybody.
