Missed opportunity. I will start off by saying the view and location is absolutely gorgeous and we loved the property cats. However the apartment was cold, dark and damp. Everything was musky and worn down, the towels were clearly very old and had a musty smell. Same with the tiny love seat. The walls were molding and there were spider webs, and floor smelled like foot, it jsut seems like the whole place was thrown together with the least amount of effort to rent out. The listing said that bed linens are provided but not put on the bed for you, so we had to dress the bed ourselves. The listing also said it provided essential soap which apparently doesn't include shower gel. Maybe the last two are just cultural norms but if you are renting to foreigners wouldn't you want to be accommodating? We loved Bonnieux and the property is beautiful. As a designer I felt the little apartment had so much potential, and sad there was such little care given to it. It seemed like the small apartment next door was recently renovated, if they decide to do something similar to this unit in the future then maybe we would stay again.
