Standard room: No bedside table, only 2 PowerPoints, both beside the door. Plugging heater in therefore blocked door from opening so unsafe. No fridge. Easily hear conversation in next room and noise in hallway. 1 cheap plastic chair provided. Pub was closed before 7:30 on a Thursday night. They over charged for room but refund coming ( I hope).

Property is very old, but was clean and comfy. Stairways are steep and narrow, so definitely NOT recommended for anyone with mobility issues.

Walls are paper thin. Make sure you confirm with property directly that you have the ensuite if that’s what you booked. Staff were awesome. Clean, comfortable, convenient to everything :) Would definitely stay here again.

Although my room had an ensuite and facilities to make Coffee/Tea, Toast or microwave you had to unplug the fridge to use the appliances and there were no utensils, cutlery, cups, plates etc. The stairs were dark as well as the areas outside the door/s to be used at night to enter the building.

Reasonable for the price

Friendly staff. Rooms are old but clean and tidy, external bathroom and toilet were always clean. Really couldn't complain for tge price.

When went to bed (late, bar/reception closed) could not use top bunk as animal(?) hair all over bed. Cockroaches in room. Old creaky rooms with thin mattresses. Would not recommend or stay here again.

Potentially could be charming but it just looks old, dirty & unloved. Seriously please look around you’ve got some interesting old furniture but can’t see it as it blends in with the general old man’s shack feeling. The bed & bedding I believe are the original items when pub open 100 years ago… Maybe apply for a makeover on TV show or something because it needs help…

I grew up in the area. It's nice to visit with an "old friend". Easy on the hip pocket, friendly helpful staff and within walking distance of everything you need. Even if I don't require accommodation, a trip to "The Aussie" is a must whenever I travel to Boonah/Fassifern Valley/Scenic Rim!
