Superb holiday in a lovely location

The apartment was even better than we were expecting. Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The pool area is fantastic and is in a great location to explore. We weren't aware that there was no bed linen and towels included in the rental price but we were able to rent them so there were no issues there. We would definitely return 😁

Tolle Wohnung in angenehmer Lage

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und in einem tadellosen Zustand. Das Zentrum von Bormes-les-Mimosas ist fußläufig erreichbar. Auch der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter und der Agentur lief reibungslos. Lediglich die Mitteilung der Höhe der Kaution nach der Buchung hat uns überrascht, ist aber nachvollziehbar, da eine hochwertige Ausstattung vorliegt. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen.

Bel appartement bien équipé et propre. La résidence est calme et la piscine agréable. Les commerces de proximité sont à 10 minutes à pieds, les belles plages à 10 minutes en voiture et le petit plus la place de stationnement en souterrain. Nous avons passé un bon séjour.

De woning is prima maar pas op met de borg!

Enkele dagen voor aankomst kregen wij (buiten VRBO om) een contract van de eigenaar toegezonden met het verzoek een borgbedrag te betalen dat bijna net zo hoog was als de gehele reissom. Dit bedrag was volgens het contract bedoeld voor eventuele schade aan het interieur. Daarbovenop moest ook nog extra borg worden betaald voor de afstandsbedieningen en schoonmaak. Aangezien wij dit nogal vreemd vonden dat dit ook nog eens cash betaald moest worden hebben wij ons beklag gedaan bij zowel VRBO als de eigenaar. Uiteindelijk resulteerde dit niet in een verlaging maar wel in een mogelijkheid tot bankbetaling. Aangezien wij inmiddels al in Frankrijk waren en nog maar 2 dagen tot de aankomst hadden hebben wij uiteindelijk toch besloten te betalen. Een dag voor vertrek hebben wij (met de aanwezige kruimeldief en vloerdweil) het huis zo goed mogelijk schoongemaakt. Dit werd bij vertrek ook door de tussenpersoon als in orde bevonden waarna wij het contante deel terugkregen. Nadat ik de volgende dag bij de eigenaar informeerde waar de rest van de borg bleef kreeg ik een bericht dat zij hiervan een deel zou inhouden omdat er ondanks de eerdere goedkeuring toch door de eigenaar werd gevonden dat de schoonmaak beter had gekund. Wij werden er oa. door beschuldigd dat wij een pan vies hadden gemaakt (terwijl er door ons niet eens gekookt was!) en er gebroken glas op de grond lag (hetgeen niet tijdens ons verblijf heeft plaatsgevonden). Dit geeft ons het gevoel dat de eigenaar uit onvrede over de hoogte en contante betaling van de borg vooraf op deze wijze een punt heeft willen maken. Als wij de borg namelijk wel contant hadden betaald was deze direct door de tussenpersoon teruggegeven en had de eigenaar achteraf de borg niet oneigenlijk kunnen inhouden van het bedrag wat eigenlijk voor schade bedoeld was. Vanwege deze oplichtingspraktijken hebben wij helaas wel wat buikpijn aan deze vakantie overgehouden.
