Major space reduction due to odor; safety and maintenance issuesOur 10-day, 9-night stay was highly disappointing due to severe property misrepresentation, safety hazards, and maintenance neglect. We are actively seeking a partial refund because a significant portion of the home was unusable for the entirety of our trip.1. Unusable Basement & Reduced Space: The entire basement area has an unbearable, foul smell resembling animal urine. The odor is so intense we cannot stay down there for more than two minutes. We lost access to 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. We paid for a 3-bed, 2-bath home but were forced to live in a cramped 2-bed, 1-bath space.Cleanliness, Maintenance, and Safety Issues: There were exposed electrical outlets/plug points left uncovered - with a young child, it was dangerous and we had to on high alert. The living and dining room carpets were heavily stained and require either a deep cleaning or complete replacement. The refrigerator light was broken, and there was no working light above the gas stove. The main floor bathroom had no towel hangers. The kitchen did not supply with enough pots/pans, cooking supplies. Upstairs Tenant Disturbances: The upstairs resident moved furniture at 3:00 AM on our first night and loudly chatted outside our bedroom window for almost an hour. Multiple nights during our 10-day stay, furniture were moved between 2-3am violating standard quiet hours.
