GREAT location and GREAT place to stay! Check in went smoothly, host was responsive, kitchen had everything you would need if you actually needed it. Would certainly stay here again!
The location was perfect in the North End and to be able to get everywhere we wanted to go on foot. Very convenient! The space was good for the two of us. I couldn't see sleeping more than two people and maybe a child if they had an air mattress. The bed was comfy and there is a window unit for air conditioning as well as a fan. Parking was tough and we had to lug our stuff a distance, so pack light! A few notices... As soon as we walked in the space, we were hit with cigarette smell. We are nonsmokers, so that was disheartening. We smelled it the whole time, so someone near that unit must be a smoker.A bath mat on the bathroom floor would be great and some room darkening shades with being right under the lights of downtown! Overall, it's a great spot to relax and sleep in between sightseeing in the North End!
Host was very responsive with communications. The room was nice and in a great location. However, be aware that the listing says towels are provided. This is true but wouldnât you think washcloths are also provided. I did after I read towels were provided. I checked with the host and he said he used to provide them but donât anymore because people were getting makeup on them. One, who travels and has to bring their own washcloths. Two, washcloths arenât that expensive to provide. Three, list it in the room details that if a guest gets makeup on them they will be charged for replacements. Next, which was the most uncomfortable, is the listing states air conditioning. When entering the room for the first time the kitchen was hot. The fridge handles were warm to the touch. We thought that the cleaning service had turned off the AC since someone checked out. We discovered the portable unit running in the bedroom. It was showing 77 degrees as room temp. The bathroom off the bedroom was also hot. We had to shut both doors at night to try to cool the bedroom so we could sleep. It never cooled below 72-73 degrees except the last night it got to 70 because the humidity significantly dropped. We never slept comfortably during the stay. There is no way you could cook and stand the heat it created on top of the kitchen already being hot. A window unit is really needed in addition in order for all guests to adjust to temp they want to be comfortable during their stay!!
We loved it! Neat, clean, well-appointed apartment on the quiet end of Hanover St. Super convenient location. Nothing bad at all to say about this place. Small, but just what we needed for us and our 8 year old.The only suggestion I'd make would be to get a new air mattress. The current one leaks and needs to be refilled a few times in the night.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in the North End. The studio apartment was clean, decorated tastefully, and in a great location. I walked to yoga and a tasty Italian dinner right on Hanover Street. Great spot!
We chose this property for a two day visit to Boston. The neighborhood is historic and vibrant with lots to explore. This studio apartment was spotlessly clean, charmingly decorated and very comfortable. It is everything we expected and needed it to be.
This apartment was perfect for my needs, with a separate kitchen and comfortable bed. The North End is a charming neighborhood with LOTS of restaurants plus bakeries and wine shops. Almost too many restaurants - it was difficult to decide which to go to. Table Mercato across the street makes delicious sandwiches big enough for two people. If you're a tourist, the apartment is close to many historic locations. It was a 10 minute walk (15 for most people) to TD Center. The apartment is a 15 minute walk from the Aquarium Station of the Blue Line, making it an inexpensive way to get to and from the airport. Two small cautions - the stairway is winding and narrow, which could be difficult for some people to maneuver their luggage; sounds from outside are easily heard - not a problem at all for me, but some people are more sensitive to such.Jay was very responsive and easy to communicate with. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
My husband and I stayed in this darling little unit over St. Patrickâs Day weekend. It was clean, the bed is comfortable, the location is perfect and the host was extremely responsive. We will definitely stay at this location again when we return to Boston.
Hi stayed here for 10 days while working on business development and visiting friends. It felt like my old days when I lived in the North End. The stairs are narrow and winding to the 3rd floor so beware depending on luggage. This was quite large for a studio and was nice that the kitchen was a separate room with a door.
Stairway was terrible. I messaged owner early on to check on parking. Never heard. Then got a message two days before that no parking. Dishes were dirty in cabinets. Coffee pot had old coffee in it.
