Sonder by Marriott Bonvoy The Magnolia Apartments Back Bay propose de nombreux services de choix comme un service de conciergerie. Vous profiterez de l'accĂšs gratuit au Wi-Fi dans les espaces communs.
I realized the hotel doesnât have an elevator once they assigned my room and shared I needed to walk up to the third floor. They were not able to accommodate an accessible room and would not refund my cancelation. Beware. This was not listed in any of the reviews. I am virtually certain this detail was omitted on the property details when I booked. It is now listed under accessibility. They should call this what it is - a walk up apartment. I expect more from a Marriott property!
Me encantó la habitación, la ubicación es excelente en Back Bay y la facilidad para mi mami en la habitación con elevador fue un gran detalle. El acceso a Shake es genial. Espero volver el próximo año en verano
My first trip to Boston. Loved the location with all the cute little shops around it. Easy to access. Has all the amenities for a lovely stay. I would stay here again.
Mixed Experience: Great Location, Poor Service
The location is excellent and the in-room amenitiesâlaundry machine, kitchenette, and dishwasherâadded convenience and comfort.
Unfortunately, major service issues overshadowed the positives. The elevator was out of order, and when I called twice for updates, I was toldâwithout empathyâthat âthere is no ETA to fix this.â I was seven months pregnant with a twisted ankle and had to climb three flights of non-air-conditioned stairs. The staffâs indifference made the situation worse.
Customer service was frustrating throughout. I was once told they had "run out of toilet paper," which is unacceptable. A CVS is two minutes away; thereâs no excuse. Basic items like paper towels and detergent were delivered only after long delays and repeated requests. Their AI chat assistant on their app even confused âpaper towelsâ with âtowelsâ and sent a bath towel instead.
Between the lack of responsiveness, poor communication, and minimal concern for guest well-being, this stay was far more stressful than it should have been.
2 wash cloths for 3 adults in a 1bdrm rental. Requested 3x for more to be delivered. Delivered 2nd day after showers. Thin spring mattress on pullout couch low quality and unbearable to sleep on. Adult daughter slept on couch cushion. Requested mattress topper and was told one would be delivered. Then received a message from Sonder they would not deliver one. Entire apt infested with ants. Both my wife and daughter bitten multiple times. How is a property with these issues associated with Marriott? Paying what we did while having these issues is unacceptable. Sonder issued a $50 credit to be used on a future stay which is an insult. And our view was of alley garbage cans with garbage trucks loudly loading garbage at 3am. Bathroom toilet paper holder broken. We will NOT stay at a Sonder property in the future and will be reporting this property to Marriott.
This was a nice little apartment for my short stay.Other than the stairs which I didnât know about until just before I arrived, it was exactly as described. Clean and nicely decorated. It is a little loud in the neighborhood but even that was addresses with the amenities. I would definitely use again.
Updated, minimalist interior design. Near Copley Station on the green line. Easy, keyless building access. Walking distance to loads of shops, restaurants, and parks. Dangerously close to late night eats.
Combined washer/dryer unit can take several hours to dry clothes completely. Don't use anything above a medium spin cycle or it might shimmy down the hall.
Noise mentioned in other reviews was not a big issue. The street can get very busy which is great and you will hear the neighbors walking with purpose upstairs. The pluses here outweigh any drawbacks.
The location was perfect for visiting. Itâs close to everything: market, shopping, dinning, ect. The area is safe & beautiful. The apartment is clean, but the kitchen has no cooking stoves or cookwares, just microwave. So the term âkitchenâ is misleading. Unfortunately, my kid has special diet. We struggled to find things for her to eat not being able to cook. The fridge doesnât dispense ice or water.
The noise can be bothersome for some.
And, there's no elevator. Be prepared to lift your belongings up the stairs.
This was in the heart of Back Bay. It was a cool experience to stay right on Newbury street. I had heard people complaining about noise but with some ear plugs it wasnât a problem at all (they even supply a little white noise machine) but you are in the heart of the city you canât be complaining about noise! The light in the bedroom was amazing. Our unit was the accessible unit so it had its own elevator! Quick walk to Copley station which is the perfect location on the Green Line cause you can use any train to get downtown and north station.
Pros - Right in the middle of Newbury Street with great shopping and restaurants right at your doorstep. Comfortable bed. Clean apartment. Kitchen well equipped with dishwasher, Washer dryer, microwave. Reliable internet. Spacious interior. Lift access to level 4.
Cons - Very noisy at nighttime so difficult to sleep. No table to eat food so eat on bed or in the two lounge chairs on your lap. Needs some sort of bedside tables next to bed. The biggest concern was safety due to the fact that the lift is shared with Shake Shack. On two occasions we pressed the button to go down and when the lift opened there were men literally staring into the kitchen as the lift opens straight into your apartment (there is no door from the lift). On another occasion it appeared to be that a homeless lady had found her way into the lift and seemed surprised when my wife entered. We later saw her on several occasions living rough. There is something not quite right about the set up even though there is a security code to go to floor 4 thatâs unique to the guest, it is not without the possibility of others entering which is a little scary.
The final con was when we requested an early check-in for 2pm. We received notification at 3.45 that we could checking early. When we went to activate this, Sonder wanted to charge a significant amount for it. We felt this was opportunistic! If the place is ready why not show some good will like everywhere else does!
The place was great, I would love to come back next year.
My only issue which is at 9 am this morning, housekeeping came into my room while I was in my underwear sleeping in bed. Our check out time was at 11 am. It was quite embarrassing and not a fun way to wake up.
