We only stayed 2 nights but it was so conveniently located. Within walking distance to all our needs and not far from attractions. Didn't have to take the car anywhere. This was my first time using VRBO and all my questions were answered by the property owners including advice requests. Overall great experience
We enjoyed our stay on the Little Pearl. The marina was quiet and clean and relaxing. The boat had everything we needed. Close to the Constitution, MBTA Ferry and the North End.
Our stay on the Little Pearl was wonderful. It was a very quick walk to the USS Constitution and Bunker Hill, which put us right on the Freedom Trail. We chose not to rent a car and we were able to get around just fine using public transit and LYFT.
There's a Dunkin' and a 7-Eleven a short walk away to grab quick and easy breakfasts to take back to the boat and enjoy on the deck.
We did not use the kitchen area at all, so I cannot speak to that. I was surprised at the roominess of the shower on board and the water gets HOT!! Nights were a little chilly, but there were plenty of blankets to cuddle up.
Deb was very communicative prior to our arrival and check-in was a breeze with her assistant. We were lucky enough to be able to go straight to the boat when we got off our train from NY so we could drop our bags before finding a place in Charlestown for lunch.
Little Pearl is an absolute gem. I stayed aboard her 3 weeks; bed is super comfy, georgous linens, towels plentiful, the top deck view just lovely. the maintenance or problem solving (if you happen to need assistance) is superbly and amazingly quick; Deb the owner has great communication and super check in notes too; the Location just fab; pier 6 beautiful bar & restaurant around the corner and the fab ferry from just beyond your marina takes you to North End for a super cheap 3.75 where you can get the subway directly from there too; tatte cafe in Charlestown, a beautiful walk along the piers and boat museum is great; also a cafe 5 mins away on the pier too; l was a lady alone for a lot of my stay; the marina is so secure due to expensive other boats there! people living aboard around you, I felt super at home and safe I also found it great to work from inside; great table with comfy built in seating good for computer work or dining with great options for lighting. We slept two super comfy; air con and heating fab. Washing machines etc all available too - Thank you for such an amazing stay!!
The best weekend getaway! First time to Boston. Little Pearl was so perfect. We loved our morning coffee on the deck & walking to see the big yachts. We walked The Freedom Trail, Ubered from the Airport and to Fenway Park. Ate at many Italian restaurants in the North End. Everything was perfect! Sherry was a wealth of information! Donât stay in a hotel!
The Little Pearl was the perfect mini-adventure for our family of three. We had everything we needed for a comfortable short stay, and the location was beautiful!
The boat had water damage. The cable did not work. This was our first time on a boat and my wife legs could not take getting on and off the boat. Also the motion sickness from the water kept her sick. I tried to notify the owner and ask if there was anyway we could complete one night and receive a refund for the remainder of the time booked for the boat. I was basically told to take her to the doctor, suck it up, and complete the trip. My wife kept getting sicker so we ultimately had to leave early and forfeit the remainder of our monet. This is so unprofessional. Definitely do not rent from this owner!!!
We were so pleasantly surprised at how relaxing and beautiful it was to stay on this boat. Had our morning coffee on the deck with the sun shining. Would totally stay again. Thanks
Staying on the Little Pearl was a fun change from a hotel. The boat was very comfy and clean and the bed was super comfortable location was convenient. Would definitely recommend!
We were in town for Halloween with the Grandkids in Bostonâs north end and tried this instead of a hotel. All in all it was a good experience. We really were only on the boat at night. We did enjoy walking the piers with all the boats lit up! I would agree with a previous review that mentioned the carpet could use a good shampoo. The other downside is very low water pressure. It really is just a trickle in the shower and will take some time to wash the shampoo out of your hair.
Staying on a yacht seemed like an adventure, which it was! Climbing up into the q.size bed made me grateful to be experienced in yoga, but trickier for my 80+ year old husband as we avoided bumping our heads on the low ceiling.
Stanley Steamer might have a project here as carpet was in need, BUT, all of our needs were met on. this charming older boat.
We expected it to be a little more modern, although it was certainly comfortable.
