Welcome to this historic hunting lodge dating back to 1830, nestled in the heart of the countryside with views of a peaceful wood. You’ll enjoy a spacious reception room with a fireplace, impressive 11.5-foot-high ceilings, and a striking chandelier. The spacious 30-square-meter fully equipped kitchen opens directly onto the garden through its large picture window.



The entrance hall welcomes you with its beautiful period staircase. Three bedrooms await you: one upstairs with an original louvered bathroom door, a large bedroom on the ground floor with a bay window overlooking the garden and exposed stone walls, and a small cabin-style bedroom. Each has its own private bathroom.



The 3,000 m² wooded grounds with a swimming pool provide shade from the heat and offer the perfect setting for your aperitifs and dinners. Enjoy two large wooden terraces and admire the magnificent sunsets. The absolute tranquility and connection with nature guarantee a rejuvenating stay.



You’re just 30 minutes from Île de Ré and its picturesque villages, 20 minutes from La Rochelle and its historic Old Port, and very close to the “Green Venice” for lovely boat rides. Just 10 minutes away, Surgères offers all the amenities you need. The restaurant Le Bonnet d’Âne will delight you with its gourmet cuisine.

We received a very warm welcome in a very comfortable house, which is a bit secluded and therefore very quiet. During this very hot week, we were lucky enough to enjoy the pool.
