Check in was an easy process. Really enjoyed the open layout of the house and living room. The sunroom was a great place to hang out in as well. Beds were cozy and there was more than enough room for everyone in our family.
The house itself is nice, especially the sunroom. But please be aware that cell service in that area is not good. Texting seemed to be the most reliable option, though calls worked okay if done while connected to the wi-fi (which was about a respectable 50 Gbps). However, we had a thunderstorm about 2 hours after we arrived and power went out for about 5 hours, leaving us with no means of communication except text, which frankly, made me uncomfortable. I agree with one of the other reviewers who said that the pictures need to be updated, as lily pads have overtaken the cove area and it is not usable for boating/swimming.
The house is very accommodating and even nicer than the photos shown. This was our first visit to Lake Gaston. We had issues on arrival with the internet but within two hours we were up and running. Please note to no fault of the owners that cell service is minimal in this area. We loved the sunroom with the lake view and enjoyed time on the deck. I was disappointed in the dock area cleanliness and the lake was very obscured in this cove by Lilly pads. We were not comfortable swimming in the cove and due to depth of water we chose not to tie our rental pontoon to the dock. The owners boat is stored on a lift at the front of the dock obscuring some of the lake view. The country club pool was close and free access on Sunday July 5 - cost for pool and beach access is 10 per person at other times. Overall an enjoyable family holiday at Lovin Lake Life!
I took my family to Lake Gaston and our stay here was amazing! It was just perfect for what we needed for the weekend and extremely comfortable. Hosts were responsive if needed as well. Will stay here again!
Our family had a wonderful Christmas vacation at Loving Lake House! The property provided the perfect setting for us to create our own holiday magic. The home was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.We especially loved the stunning lake views and the peaceful surroundings. It was such a treat to wake up to the calm waters and enjoy quiet mornings with a cup of coffee in the sunroom. The open living spaces were perfect for spending quality time together, whether playing games or preparing meals.
Loved the house, just as listed. Has everything you need and was easy to find. Shout out to Lester, thank you for being so helpful. Wish every house we stayed at has a welcome book like this house has, it was very useful. I would rent again, however only in fall/winter months. The dock picture needs to be updated, I would have been disappointed if this where summer. The lilly pads have almost taken over the cove. But as stated I would rent again as the house was perfect. Check in and check out very easy.
Les was an incredible manager!! So helpful. The property is great, lovely location close to the community beach. Comfy beds and clean. Exactly what we needed for a family vacation at the lake.
Overall great house for families with older kids/pets and enjoying all that Lake Gaston has to offer! Dock was nicely set up for hanging outdoors and enjoying a peaceful swing by the water. Was great to be able to dock our rented watercraft too! Summer evenings/rain brought plenty of bugs so didn't get to use as often as I hoped, and it was also quite a workout on the long walk from dock to house up a hill. Kitchen was well equipped with plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans, outdoor grill, and multiple coffee makers (nice to have the option for both k-cups or coffee pot). House had lots of games, good TV service/wifi, and plenty of furniture for comfortable rainy days indoors. The sunroom, which included a daybed with a great view was just that. For anyone considering it an extra bedroom like we thought, just know the room has very little insulation being that it's an enclosed porch and the one air vent in the floor had trouble keeping up. Majority of the sunroom windows don't have curtains/blinds either so little privacy and daylight heats the room up during the day, good thing the area is very shady! Again, nice room just wouldn't consider it a bedroom if you prefer privacy and lower indoor temperature. Beds were older but fairly comfortable with a thick memory foam topper... my husband struggled to sleep b/c he prefers a harder mattress, so just depends on your preference. Property Management was super responsive and we had a great week on the lake staying here!
Lovinâ Lake Life is a beautiful, clean and charming lake house that was a perfect vacation spot for our family. We especially loved hearing the sounds of nature which varied with the time of day. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of supplies to enjoy the lake. All that you could ask for in a lake house!
We had a total of 18 family members coming to the party so this house was our "overflow" building. We were very pleased with the house, it was very clean and had all of the appliances, dishes we could use. The parking was ample and the dock was wonderful.
The owners were fantastic to work with. A tucked away, quiet property at the head of the creek. We enjoyed the shady boathouse, fishing and kayaking from our dock, the community beach and playground. The house had many thoughtful amenities, super plush blankets, memory foam mattress toppers, and even a little desk overlooking the lake for those of us that had to check in with work during the week. The dock is very shallow and not the best for swimming, but the beach was a short drive/healthy walk down the lane and we enjoyed it immensely. The house itself is older, but updates have been made and it more than met our needs.
