The water from faucets was scalding hot, no cold water. Unit was cute and bed comfortable. Would be great winter lodging due to no air conditioning. Great location near trails and lift.
Check-in instructions were confusing and inadequate: "see doorman" - in reality, we needed to check in at the hotel front desk, which is in a different building. When we finally figured this out, after walking back and forth between buildings, the front desk was incompetent and 1) couldnt find our reservation 2) when they eventually found it, checked us in at first under the wrong name into the wrong room. The incompetence of the front desk isn't the fault of the listing owner but the incomplete check-in instructions put us in a state where we were very vulnerable if there was any confusion with the front desk employees. There was also no information on the listing about parking, which you have to pay for, which led us to park in a ski lot and get a ticket because neither the front desk nor the listing told us that there is a garage surreptitiously located under one of the resort buildings.
After spending an entire hour checking in we made it to the room. The room was mostly nice, if dated, but the door handle to the patio had completely fallen off (was literally dangling from two screws) and the thermostat control did not work at all, to the point we just had to turn it off to avoid overheating.
With basic improvements to both the check in instructions and fundamentals of the room, this could be a nice if dated place to stay. But that was not really the case for us.
Location was amazing, we were right next to the lift and it is definitely ski in ski out. But when paying over 300/night, i would expect the handle to not be falling off the sliding door, paint to not be peeling off the walls/ceiling, and there not be a thick layer of dust on the chandelier. There was also non stop noise from what we assume was the pipes feom the room above which made it very difficult to sleep.
Excellent location by Beaver Run lift. A true ski in/ski out with ski locker for storage. Condo comfortable. Facilities with great amenities and frequent shuttles going downtown.
Overall a very average and dated resort. The host was awesome and very responsive, not their issue the resort was average. Only 1 of the 3 restaurants were open, we get it, start of season and more snow than over the past few years at this time, may not have hired all the seasonal help yet, however it being Thanksgiving one would think they would have different options. Upon arrival I found the place to be amazing. The condo had a nice couch, a comfy bed, and a sweet tub. Also, there was a walk out area with a sliding door.
As I settled I noticed it was not as clean as I had hoped. There was a lot of hair throughout, including the tub and bed. That was off-putting.
When I did shower, the cold water faucet was difficult to turn off or on.
I also had to sleep with the sliding glass door open because the heat wouldn't turn off. Even after turning down the thermostat and letting it air out with a fan, as directed, it wouldn't cool down. The screen for that door also had damaged tracks, making it hard to fully close.
I give it a 3 instead of 2 because of the responsiveness of the hostess, the unique and comfortable room, and how cool the property was. Cleanliness is big to me, and that was the main issue I had.
This place was perfect for my husband and I to stay at during my birthday weekend trip. It was exactly as described and very clean. I would definitely stay again!!
I chose to stay here for the convenience and the pricing during a work conference. It was easy to book. The owner communicated well all throughout from me booking to me checking out after my stay. The hotel staff was friendly and made it easy to check in/out. The room itself was not prepared for when I arrived and had dirty towels and etc still left over from the previous renter. I reached out to the owner who was quick to respond and take action. Cindy apologized and sent a cleaning crew in within the hour of me reaching out to customer service and her. When I got back to the room, everything was refreshed, cleaned and replaced. I would recommend this location, this room and hotel. My only suggestion is to have the mattress and/or bed frame updated because it is so squeaky and not very comfortable.
