Great room, in a great location! We were able to walk everywhere, including to the gondola to get to the ski lifts. We will definitely be staying there again!
Fantastic location with OK accommodations. I missed that it was a Murphy style bed, but that worked out fine. Dated style and in need of some repairs on the outlets and screen door. Skiing down lower 4 o,clock to just across the street to the building entrance was amazing. The check-in process was a hassle as the garage door opener never worked the entire visit, and they kept making us go back-and-forth (check in is several blocks away) which isnât a fun way to start the trip. Outdoors locked after hours which our keys also didnât unlock, but we never got locked out of the actual room.
This property is shabby and run down. The River Mountain Lodge where the unit is located has a great location and nice amenities, but the privately owned unit is a let down. The carpet is musty, the overall condition of the room is just really old, and the check-in/out process is highly inconvenient. The Vacasa front desk is located a .4 mile walk away and you have to go there to get the keys and to turn them back in at the end of the stay. There is a $50 fine if you do not turn your keys in.
I had a maintenance issue during my stay where the gas fireplace wasnât working and the patio door had slightly jumped off the tracks so the door wouldnât close all the way. This led to not being able to get the unit to heat above 63 degrees on the first night of my stay. They sent a maintenance guy midday the next day and he rectified the problem, but it was frustrating to have no recourse the night before. Because the hotel doesnât operate the unit, they werenât able to help with other amenities like housekeeping or providing a humidifier like they have in their other rooms.
Location is great - but based on the inconveniences, I wouldnât choose to stay here or to book through Vacasa again.
This property is perfect location to all things downtown. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, including to the gondola to take us up to the peaks. The property was clean. However, the check in process was very frustrating. We had to check in at a different property and then walk with our luggage 20 minutes to the property we were actually staying at. Not the best. We also had to get back over there just to drop our keys off, like why??? The room was cute, but misleading. There was a pull down bed which was comfy enough, just not what we were expecting. All in all we have no regrets staying here, and you canât beat the location. Just wish we had known about the check in/check out issues, as we did not have a car.
