It is a great property with an engaging history. Here are a few opportunities for improvement.
-plowing was inadequate....
-ice buildup near the front door made access a little "dicey" I even spread some ice-melt & tried to chop the ice, on the area near the door but it had little impact.
-the key box operation was challenging. I have a key box at my ski home which just operates with a simple code to open. The two level operation of this key box was cumbersome.
-TV instructions for the main living area are woeful and need to be updated.
-Post the internet access instructions somewhere prominent.
Otherwise, the house suited us fine and we had a great week of skiing, Kevin Rich
It felt like camping with the convenience of a home! The house was big, clean, and had everything we needed. It can easily sleep 10 (1 king, 2 queens, and 2 twin bunk beds), so not sure why it says 8. We had a family from newborn up to 63 and we were all quite comfy! We all decided we will try to make this an annual trip to the Flurry Lodge!
We saw two moose and walked down to the stream. The property goes right up to White River National Forest! It is close to Mainstreet Breckenridge and lakes and hiking trails. There is a fire pit in the back yard that we roasted sâmores on. There is a lovely wrap-around deck for drinking coffee/tea/wine/beer. It was just lovely!
We really enjoyed the peaceful location, great views and interaction with wildlife. Had a bear walk through the yard one morning. Will stay again if it works out.
We had a great stay at Winterwood. We came in the summer for a wedding. It was very comfortable for 6 adults, with a room each couple. (The room with the bunk beds is attached to the master suite so it would be a little awkward for other adults to stay there). Everything was clean. The beds were comfortable. The area was quiet at night. We had a great stay!
We stayed at the Flurry lodge over the âblizzardâ weekend to ride at Breck. It is a really chill spot with tons of room. It was awesome to have a wood burning stove in the living room after long days on the slopes. Will definitely be looking to stay again in the future.

Great place near Breck
Great house not far from the slopes with numerous comfy beds, great for large groups. The windy road up might be tough in heavy snow but was fine when we were there.
Overall our stay was great, only complaints are that the place could you a dusting and the stovetop has some gunk stuck in it that smokes when cooking.
For the most part, the experience was excellent. Our family loved the location, and the accommodations were good. The only complaint was it floors could have been a little cleaned. It was a little dusty under the furniture, and we found a few miscellaneous items under furniture like a few skittles under a couch, and a sock under the bed. Not a game changer. We would rent this property again!
This is an awesome place to stay in the summer. Beautiful views of the mountains and easy access to town. We loved the back balcony. We had a few issues with dryer not working, the master shower faucet, and we didnât know there was a hot water heater switch until the next day. The manager was hard to reach so the dryer and shower didnât get fixed til the last night so he gave us a partial refund. There is a tenant who lives on the bottom floor with a separate entrance. They were really nice and tried to help us fix things. Overall this is a great place to stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Flurry Lodge! The location of the home is gorgeous and the night sky is amazing! The home had everything we could ask for. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with extra paper products, toiletries, and spices, oil, etc.
The kitchen had plenty of dishes and cooking utensils, there was nothing we wanted that we didn't have. The living room had a wonderful wood burning stove (with wood provided) that heated the whole space. The couch was extremely comfortable as was the area rug for those that prefer floor sitting. The entertainment options were extensive including cable tv, chromecast, and a dvd player. The two bedrooms we used were large and the beds very comfortable.
We definitely hope to stay here again!
The part of the house where we stayed was nice but there is too much action in the circle especially from the tenents who also occupy the house. Also, the bedroom TV did not work. The bathrooms were not clean when we arrived. We wanted a private getaway and this rental is not that.
We have stayed here before and keep coming back. This time we had family in from Chicago, & Michigan. Itâs such a nice place to stay and visit with friends and family. Everyone had plenty of room and was impressed with the amenities. We love the recent upgrades too! We will definitely be back again.
Flurry Lodge was perfect for our quick ski weekend. Very nicely appointed, with plenty of space. Itâs on a very scenic road not far from Main Street. I would recommend a 4x4 vehicle during winter as the road is very steep with some sharp turns. Overall though highly recommended!
I was here Aug 6 thru the 13th. It rained EVERY DAY. But the cabin offered so much we were able to keep our kids entertained. The owners have several games (cards and board), cable with HBO and HBO on Demand for free movies, DVD player, and Wifi. Basically everything at home. When it wasn't raining, the location was great. Easy access to Colorado 9 to get into Breck (less than 5 minutes) and to Frisco (about 10 minutes). We were also able to enjoy a camp fire the first night the weather allowed. It was my kids' and wife's first trip to Colorado and they loved it. My 7 year old wants to move there. This cabin was a big reason why!
My family of 6 spent a week at Flurry Lodge in March and loved every bit of it. The house is super comfortable and was ideal for us. The master bedroom and bath upstairs was like a spa for my wife and I. The kids spread out in the other rooms. The kitchen/dining/greatroom was where we congregated for games, March Madness and meals. The short drive to the base of Breck was no hassle at all and we parked at the base of the gondola each day. Flurry Lodge feels like a Colorado lodge - which is exactly what we flatlanders from MN wanted.
We will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your wonderful mountain home with us.
House was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked and gas grill on deck was used daily. It is tucked away in the pines on a quiet hillside and is just a few minutes drive to the slopes of Breckenridge. Would definitely rent again and would recommend to family and friends.
We had a wonderful time. The Flurry Lodge was perfect. Such a cute and fun house. Perfect for our winter adventures. We had 7 people in our group and it had plenty of room for everyone. We hope to come back next year. Thanks!!
What a beautiful place y'all have. We loved our stay. Location was awsome too. Being up in the mountain with all that snow made our stay more impressionable. We will sure tell our friends of your place.

This was the prefect location for us. We enjoyed having our dogs with us as we hiked right out the backyard. The home was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We will definitely keep this place in mind for a return trip! The neighbors were friendly and a delight. No issues at all. Would love to find a similar home to buy in Breck!
The best part of staying at Flurry Lodge was how welcoming and homey it feels. The beds are comfortable and the view off the back deck is spectacular. The property manager is very accommodating. I would definitely recommend it for your next family vacation.
I have mixed feeling about our stay. The house was nice and appeared clean. They had sleds and snow shoes in the garage to use. A neighborhood sledding hill up the road. We only had 7 people and didn't feel cramped at all, 8 would probably be the max. Before we arrived we got a call from the property manager about the upstairs master toilet was clogged and they were sending out a plumber. The next day the toilet clogged again and spilled over, stinking up the entire upstairs (main floor of the house). My kids went to sleep crying about the smell. The next morning we all woke up sick because we had to sleep with the windows open with it -11 that night. They sent out a plumber that morning and said they needed to cut into the wall to fix it, so we went without a toilet the entire time. That left all 7 of us using basically 1 toilet, because the other toilet was in the master downstairs. More than half of the lights inside and outside of the house were out and needed to be changed. Luckily they had a box of lights in the pantry, so I replaced several. Getting to the house was also an issue. We rented a mini van to make the trip and we couldn't get up the last hill before the house (tried to find chains but couldn't find any in town). When we came back from town we found another route to the house, 15 minute detour that the van could make. There was white dog hair all over the carpet and furniture and we had to buy a lent roller to get it off all of our clothes and hats. I feel bad about giving this house a negative review because it had so much potential to be a great house and give us a great family vacation, but it started out bad with the road conditions getting in, getting the call about the toilet being clogged by the last renters sent up another red flag, then walking into a dark house was really frustrating, but I really got upset when the toilet spilled over after it was supposedly fixed and I had to put my kids to sleep crying. If there would have been a vacant hotel that night, we would have left the house. Once you get past the nightmare of things that went wrong with the house, we had a great time in Breckenridge even though we were all sick.
