Corner Cottage is a spacious and accessible dormer bungalow set on a quiet residential side street just a 10-minute walk from the beach in the thriving harbour town of Bridlington on the Yorkshire coastline. With ramped access all round and with plenty of social space and a large kitchen this holiday home is perfect for those less able, family groups or friends looking to come together to enjoy this beautiful part of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Step inside and find a bright and airy living room with deep filled sofas and an electric fire for the cooler winter months. Dual-aspect windows flood the room with natural light and offer lovely views of the enclosed garden. Blinds are provided to keep the sun out during the height of summer. Across the hall can be found the dining room with plenty of seating for eight. The modern kitchen is to the rear of the property and provides a host of appliances, there’s even a small breakfast table that sits to one side and is great space for enjoying a morning coffee or a glass or two of wine whilst watching the chef in the group rustle up a delicious evening meal. Ramped access leads from the kitchen into the garage where you can find a washing machine and tumble dryer. Garden access can also be found from the kitchen.
The ground floor plays host to a large wet room style bathroom with shower (updated in April 2025) and two bedrooms, a kingsize double with built-in wardrobes and a twin room with garden views. To the first floor are two further bedrooms with sloping ceilings and Velux windows – a double and a twin room. The house bathroom offering a bath with shower attachment completes the accommodation. Corner Cottage provides an enclosed dog friendly garden with two seating areas, pretty borders and a neatly trimmed lawn. This is ideal for children to play safely, enjoy an alfresco breakfast during the summer months or perhaps have a BBQ of an evening.
Bridlington offers a plethora of tea rooms, restaurants, amusements and convenience stores. It also offers two beautiful sandy beaches, a promenade for relaxing seafront walks and a thriving spa and theatre offering a packed events programme throughout the summer months. Sewerby Hall and Gardens, Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House and Gardens are all within a short drive of the property and a little further along the coast is Filey and the pretty village of Flamborough with its working lighthouse.
For bird watchers, a visit to RSPB Bempton Cliffs is a must. With miles of walking and cycling routes don’t forget to bring your bikes. The Yorkshire Wolds are waiting to be explored and the historic city of York is also under an hour’s drive away.
