The location was great, the room as okay to stay for a night. But cleanliness would need to improve as the shower did not seem cleaned, there were still hair everywhere.
Old, very smelly and dirty place. Toilet, sink and shower blocked. Mattress very bad. Never experienced nothing like that. Couldnât wait to get out of this place.
I cancelled my room due to poor customer service and being asked for extra money.
My friend stayed over in Room 5 and said it was the worst night ever!
Staff and friends partied all night in my paid room - after I was told they REFUSE to let me cancel.
Party ended when my friend exited the lodging.
The bed is nothing to what they show you on the website.
Frankly - I feel both my friend and I have been scammed.
The check in experience was pretty dreadful. We waited ages for someone to turn up to give us the code, they then didn't give us the external door code (but luckily an email came through hours later, before we were back to attempt access) then a new email with a change of code arrived, but that code was wrong and in fact the earlier email had the correct code on it.
The noise in the hotel from people coming and going all night was dire and the bed was uncomfortable. All in all, only worth it if like most other guests last night, you don't want a guarantee of having access to your room or a good night's sleep!
Iâve stayed here on three occasions, each one worse than the one before and only returned due to the convenient location and low prices (at the time). The beds are uncomfortable, and the rooms were cold (small heaters are provided but these are small and noisy). You can hear every noise throughout the property and most nights I had barely any sleep, the worst night was when a couple had managed to get into the property but couldnât access their room so weâre trying to get into my room! They had tried typing random pins as you can hear when someone is putting a code in and eventually called the helpline, as the walls are so thin I could hear the whole conversation and it turned out they had not submitted their ID to get the check-in details yet! I felt so unsafe especially as a solo traveller, when I contacted the property their response was just a template sorry and that itâs an unstaffed property. If sleeping and comfortability are not priority then staying here is fine but otherwise I would avoid. After 3 chances the only thing thatâs good about this place is its location.
Booked this hotel two weeks in advance, paid for a "Deluxe" room which is a larger room with an ensuite with a bath tub and a balcony.
When I arrived I was dismayed to find that I had been allocated a tiny room at the top of the building with no bath and no balcony.
To make matters worse, there was no remote control provided for the TV, so not only did I have to deal with claustrophobic conditions, but I didn't even have a distraction.
I was woken by a fire alarm going off for at least 10 minutes, and then later by a staff member finally bringing me a TV remote.
I did of course complain about the room allocation, and was assured that I would be moved the next day, but the staff member who brought the remote control seemed to have no knowledge of this.
I later left and found somewhere else to stay.
SO disappointing because when I stayed before, the room was great.
When I finally got in I was pleasantly surprised. The bed and bed area looked great. Very inviting.
However, the check in process and ID verification was super annoying. I also had to have a few calls from staff trying to downgrade room and say room might not be available by check in time (which it finally was in the end). Not great.
The room was freezing. Even with the small electric heater they had.
The TV didnât work. No signal on any channels. Was very disappointing.
There was what looked like a bloody handprint stain on the wall under the TV. In fact, the whole place needs the walls washing and painting.
The noise from outside was a bit loud / annoying, but nothing you can really do about that.
The noise within the property is also noticeable. Could even hear the couple upstairs having s-x at like 2/3am.
So noise travels.
I had a pleasant enough stay, and had a lot of potential, but a few things that really detracted away from it.
I would stay again, maybe, but wonât be rushing back.
Alright if you donât mind were youâre sleeping
Stayed for a night to see a gig. Wasnât able to book in at the time we were told we could, but a room was available. Booked as a couple staying and the room only had one mug and one glass for morning coffee.
Radiators must not be working as we had a tiny electric heater in our room.
The room was large with a working tv. Bath room was useable but a little shabby.
It is close to the beach and shops so very accessible to everything but we wonât be staying there again.
Shower had no pressure.
Mattress had stains covering it.
Tv didnât work.
Extremely loud and noisy could hear every single room, due to very think walls.
Check in was not good, had to call to get the code when it should have been sent before hand.
Not the best but I shouldâve known for the price. The room was freezing and very different than the photos. The check in process also was hell but the lad that called me was really nice. Thatâs the only good thing
The room was in a poor state and smelled of marijuana, the TV did not work, the mattress was very soft and the springs could be felt through it, I opened the patio style door to get some fresh air but the small courtyard was full of feral pigeons and stank of them so closed the door. I asked for a change of room but was not offered one. In the end I packed my bag and booked into the Travelodge.
It's a shame because it could have been a nice place, but unfortunately, it's full of drunk people, others doing drugs, smoking in the hallways, singing, and making noise. The bathroom is super small, and the bed is terrible. Very disappointing. Also if you are not able to use your phone when you get there you wont get in as you need code from the doors and there is no one to talk to in case you need.
