I stayed here during a work trip and needed somewhere practical and well-located. Overall, a mixed experience with clear positives and a few issues.
The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the seafront, the pier, and central spots. If you’re driving, park on the outskirts or take the train as overnight parking nearby is expensive and hard to find.
Staff were helpful and polite. The room had a good selection of beverages, although the kettle could do with descaling.
The electric locks were tricky at first. The keypad didn’t always activate reliably, though it became easier with use. More concerning was the loose, wobbly door lock, which didn’t inspire confidence in security.
The building sits at a slight angle, which made the stairs feel awkward, and even small things like the toilet seat not staying up were noticeable.
The mattress is due for replacement, with a clear dip that made sleeping uncomfortable. Walls are very thin, so noise carries easily. My first night was disrupted by a group partying, though the second night was much quieter. The location seems better suited to late nights than early ones.
The lobby was very warm, and I had to keep the window open to stay comfortable.
Overall, the stay was pleasant, but due to the security concerns, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
