It's cheap hostel in We End but you will get what you paid. Just don't expect much of $16 per night. At least you can have a car parking for free if you have one. There are 2 buildings of the hostel, White and Green, it seems the Green one is for the people who live there for ages but the White one is for new guests. But yeah seems most of people who staying in the hostel have been here a ages. *** the booking website said that you've already paid for the first night or what but the true is you've not. So you have to pay the whole amount on the spot. *** Once you show up and you feel not okay to stay just find the new one cause you can.
The manager was very good and looked after us in regard to the price. The sheets and towels were clean though the rest of the building was a little dirty.
I booked this hostel due to the location and the recent reviews... IT WAS A MISTAKE. Upon check in the staff was rude and unfriendly, if I had realised I had not paid for it yet I would of went somewhere else. The way the hostel was upon entry was that bad.
Upon checkin the guy was very pushy and the ârulesâ are crazy. The wifi did not work while we were there.
The sleeping: the mattresses are typical hostel and hard, however they are yellow. The pillows are stained and the blankets were so gross we did not use them. The room itself looked like it hadnât been cleaned, ever.
The bathrooms: RUN!! The mild that is around the floors, up the walls and on the wooden door to the bathroom makes you feel dirtier then when you went in. The entire time we were there, they were not cleaned once. It is a shame because they look like they have been redone but it is crazy.
Besides the cleanliness, which is horrible and quite frankly gross and none existent, the noise is loud. With all the rules youâd expect them to enforce the quiet times which they donât.
Go across the street for cheaper and a MUCH BETTER experience.
DO NOT GO HERE.
My Uber pulled into the hostel directly opposite and I was impressed, then realised my hostel was the one on the other side of the road and was very disappointed - it looked like it should be in a ghetto somewhere. Lots of graffitti on the outside as a welcome, the building looked really old and tired, no clear sign as to where reception was, or indeed that it was the hostel I was staying at, and lots of âlock your doorâ signs everywhere. When I found reception, posters warning abouts the local âthiefâ were my welcome! Not great so far, but the bed was clean, although extremely noisy, most beds in the room woke everyone up as people moved in their sleep, air con and WiFi were amazing though, and value for money was pretty good I guess. Staff are really friendly. Toilets and showers were gross, although they were cleaned during my stay I donât think they have had a deep clean since they opened. Overall great for a night or 2 to save money but hostel opposite looked more appealing!
