The breakfast was not of the same standard quality as other Holiday Inn stays. I get the impression they have lowered the quality of the produce to cut costs. Be prepared also if you are a solo traveler to be directed toward the high chairs, facing the wall away from the tables when eating your breakfast. I went along with the direction but she looked genuinely surprised when I replied "if I have to". Nothing like paying for a hotel and being treated to a breakfast facing the wall in a high stool like a child. Sent an email to management and got a generic we will look into this and adjust training etc. The room itself was reasonably priced. The lady that greeted me on arrival was friendly, very informative of hotel stay details which was useful. I would stay here again for the same price but I would not expect much from the breakfast.

Staff are lovely and welcoming. Room was clean when we arrived and breakfast buffet had a good choice and was replenished regularly. Watch out for the option to not have your room serviced some days. We opted for this as it was a short stay and didn't realise that it meant not even the bins were emptied. Staying with a baby, we were glad not to have been staying any longer! I'm sure they would have emptied the bins if we'd asked though, the staff really were ever so helpful.

The car park bays were too narrow. Even when you park well within the white lines there is such a small gap between the cars that it is difficult to get out of the car. There was no control over the heater in the bedroom and you couldn't switch it off as there was no remote and the on off button on the machine itself didn't work therefore it was too hot at night.

Great hotel good service good food booked with them as my wife has mobility problems however out of 8 disability parking spots used up but only 3 of those cars displayed a blue badge. Had to push my wife in her wheelchair from the parking area of the restaurant opposite.

Fantastic location for visiting son at Uni. Initially in room on 2nd floor but heating didn’t work and dog constantly barking for over an hour you could hear in room 2 floors below (apparently dogs are allowed on ground floor and this one’s owners must have left it to go out to dinner 😬)! Loads of complaints including from us so we were moved to third floor on end which turned out to be more modern, bigger bed, lovely shower and very quiet being on the end. Breakfast was a good choice considering it was included.
