I cannot fault the property. The initial instructions to get in were a bit challenging and the first code provided didn’t work but once we contacted the reception they immediately issued a new one.
The property whilst small used space well and was modern with all amenities we needed. Both beds are on a mezzanine which we knew when booking and this worked well for us.
My only real criticism is the street on which this property is (which the hosts can do nothing about).
There appears to be a homeless hostel at the end of the road nearer to the city centre. There are always people outside and several times we had people shouting at us and making us feel intimidated. There are notes up everywhere about robberies and burglaries in the property and this didn’t let us feel safe. In the other direction there were homeless people sleeping under the bridge and a gathering of middle aged males constantly.
One morning at 4am we were also woken by screaming on the street for around 30 minutes.
I think it is a real shame as this spoilt our stay and is no fault of the property or host. If the property was two streets closer to the city centre I don’t think we’d have noticed and would be giving 4/5* rating.
