    Wir kamen ohne Probleme zur Glenview Lodge und wurden sofort von Sean begrĂŒĂŸt, der uns alles erklĂ€rte. Sehr nett. TĂ€glich erkundigten sich Sean und Monica ob alles ok sei. Wir fĂŒhlten uns absolut wohl und es war alles da was man in einem erholsamen Feriendomizil braucht. Vielen Dank!!

    A very peaceful place

    Wir haben zu viert eine sehr schöne Woche im Cottage von Monica und Sean verbracht. Im wunderschönen und nostalgischen Farmhaus genießt man die Ruhe und Natur im Herzen von Irland. Von hier kann man spannende AusflĂŒge (z.B. Cork, Limerick, Cliffs of Moher) machen und das angrenzende Umland bei schönen Wanderungen erkunden. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

    Ruhiges Ferienhaus mit Flair

    Ein wunderschönes Ferienhaus, auf einem von hohen BĂ€umen eingewachsenen GrundstĂŒck, das bereits um 1800 erbaut worden ist. Liebevoll renoviert und eingerichtet empfĂ€ngt es seine Bewohner mit einem ganz eigenen Flair. Die KĂŒche ist gut ausgestattet und bietet alle Utensilien fĂŒr den tĂ€glichen Bedarf. In den bequemen Betten kann man sich gut von anstrengenden Ausflugstagen erholen. Das Haus eignet sich fĂŒr TagesausflĂŒge zum Ring of Kerry, die Dingle-Halbinsel, Limerick, Cork, 
 Wir wurden sehr freundlich von SeĂĄn empfangen, der uns trotz der erst abendlichen Anreise (unser Flug hatte VerspĂ€tung) sehr ausfĂŒhrlich und informativ im Haus herumgefĂŒhrt hat. Wir haben uns in unserer Woche in diesem sauberen und gepflegten Haus sehr wohlgefĂŒhlt und können es uneingeschrĂ€nkt weiterempfehlen.

    irische Idylle im County Limerick

    Wir (Eltern mit 15 und 18 J. alten Kindern) haben 2 Wochen in der Glenview Lodge verbracht - und waren rundum sehr zufrieden. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was wir benötigt haben. Die 2 BĂ€der nebst zusĂ€tzlichem WC sind in "Stoßzeiten" hilfreich. Insgesamt ein idealer Ort, um abzuschalten. Die sehr freundlichen Vermieter wohnen nah und konnten uns nĂŒtzliche Tipps geben - hierfĂŒr noch einmal ausdrĂŒcklichen Dank!

    Wir verbrachten eine ganz wundervolle Woche in Broadford. Wir kamen uns wie eine Adelsfamilie vor, denn zum Haus gehört ein riesiges GrundstĂŒck mit ApfelbĂ€umen, einer Scheune, einen Schuppen und ein kleines WĂ€ldchen das rund ums GrundstĂŒck geht. Es gibt eine kleine Karte die einen Weg ums GrundstĂŒck beschreibt.Auf der Wiese tummeln sich wilde Hasen und es herrscht nachts eine absolute Ruhe! Trotzdem ist man nur 5 min Autofahrt vm nĂ€chsten Ort weg. Das Haus ist in einem top Zustand, liebevoll eingerichtet und besitzt einen Holzofen, den wir sehr gern genutzt haben.Im Schuppen steht eine Tischtennisplatte und Kicker, was unsere Kinder liebten.Zur BegrĂŒĂŸung gab es selbstgebackenes Brot, Kaffe ,Tee und zum Abschied selbstgemachte Pralinen.Wir haben von hier aus viele AusflĂŒge unternommen, Limerick, Listowel und weiter an den Strand, Delfinwatching, etc.....Die Woche ging rasend schnell rum und wir sind nur sehr ungern gegangen! Danke an Sean und Monica! Wir kommen wieder!

    Perfect House for Family Trip.

    From the very beginning this was a wonderful stay! The house had everything we needed for a family get away. You cannot pick a more beautiful location as a home base while traveling around. Our son loved the game room and outside adventures. We can’t thank our hosts enough, especially for the little gifts for our boys, and would come back and stay in an instant.

    Peaceful and good location

    Monica and Sean are gracious and lovely hosts. They made our stay so comfortable. Glenview Lodge was the perfect location for our stay. Traditional Irish countryside with ease of access to great day trips (we went to Dingle, Killarney, Cork, the Cliffs of Moher, Limerick/Bunratty Castle, and one overnight in Galway, just to name a few stops). Close to our family as well. A wonderful stay with truly wonderful hosts. We can't wait to come back!!!! Thank you so much!

    Lovely property and hosts

    We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Glenview Lodge very much. The house was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. It is in a calm and quiet area, with an amazing view. Just what we needed to come back to after each busy day exploring this beautiful area. During our stay we visited Cork, Kinsale and Killarney National Park. There are a few shops in Broadford and even a take away open late, which we took advantage of on one of the days we returned quite late. The hosts Monica and Sean were so nice and made us feel very welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and we will definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to find ourselves in the area in the future.

    The youngest 27 and oldest 68, four of us all together thoroughly enjoy the accommodation. 30 acres worth of peaceful, relaxing walks. A wood burning fireplace heats up the early morning dew. House location suited our needs for visiting any south west town easily. You will want for more time.

    Sept visit to Broadford

    It was so very peaceful and was a welcoming place after a long day of sightseeing. We had a fire every night and ate wonderful meals in the large, modern kitchen. We each had our own bathroom as well as one downstairs. We used the washer and dryer. Appreciated the coffee maker as well as the electric tea kettle and French press. The lproperty was so beautiful and quiet.

    Peace Profound

    Glenview Lodge is a lovely property -and what a setting! Surrounded by trees and nothing but green fields beyond, the sense of tranquility was wonderful. Great for families with small children and adults (like us)escaping the city noise. The Lodge also offers good access to local attractions and some of the 'Big Sights' like Killarney and Dingle are all within reach for a grand day out. Our hosts were always contactable but there were absolutely no issues on out trip. Thank you Sean and Monica.

    Monica and Sean were delightful,nothing too much trouble, they even supplied a welcome pack, most grateful, they checked on us midweek to see if everything was OK and if we needed anything, house was large, well equipped and surrounded by grass and woodland, so peaceful, would fully recommend this property and owners to people.

    De woning heeft veel karakteristieke kenmerken met daarbij alle faciliteiten om het verblijf aangenaam te maken. Monica en SeĂĄn zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam, bij vragen snel te bereiken en hebben veel tips voor interessante plekken en gelegenheden in de omgeving. De omgeving is landelijk en rustig met meerdere wandelroutes in de directe omgeving. Een ideale locatie om Zuid-West Ierland (per auto) te verkennen vanaf een mooie plek.

    Peaceful and Charming

    We were so excited to stay here, and it was even better than the pictures or description. It was a wonderful home base, but we also spent a day there, and it was one of our favorite days of our entire trip. The home is warm and charming, filled with history and little touches, like freshly picked flowers from the property and books on all things Irish, plus a detailed folder with info on the use of the property, etc. The property was so lovely....picturesque really. We took numerous photos of the property and our family on the property. The photos came out as if they were professionally taken. It's easy to take good photos when the landscape is so beautiful. My daughter said she felt like she couldn't take it all in because of how awesome it was. Sean spent time talking with us and telling us the most interesting stories, including Irish history. We loved hearing him talk, not just for his wonderful accent, but the knowledge and passion with which he spoke, made his stories captivating. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to visit again.

    Home from home

    Location is remote, but we knew that and it didn't bother us at all. The house is in the middle of farmland, but while you're in the garden, you wouldn't really notice. The house has gardens around it that are well attended to. We found a fairy trail and our toddler loved saying hello to the fairies every day and saying goodbye on check out. There are numerous binders with local information are available for those interested. There is a leisure centre less than 15min away WLSC which we used every day of our stay. We generally book homestays as we have 2 small children. I always bring kitchenware from home because the knives are usually blunt, or there's no chopping boards, but there was no need here. Anything you could have wanted was available right down to washing powder. Lack of wifi wasn't much of an issue for us. It is stronger upstairs than downstairs. There are some DVDs and board games available and a games room in the other building. Overall we had a really lovely family break.

    Glenview Lodge was LOVELY!

    Everything about our stay here was picture perfect. Monica and Sean were delightful hosts! Monica had left freshly baked soda bread for us and butter curls, milk and yogurt in the fridge and brought us a freshly made apple tart one evening - a true delight after a long day. The cottage itself was ideal. Glenview is a great name as it has a picture perfect setting and even a sweet Fairy Path outside. The grounds are lovely and large with plenty of space for kids to run around and even some playground equipment. It is also a wonderful place for adults to set outside and enjoy the view and the air. The cottage itself has a great layout with an updated kitchen and all the dishes, glasses and cooking utensils you could need along with a coffee maker and a press. The upstairs has, 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths and there is a half bath downstairs. There is even a washer in the pantry area and a dryer in one of the outside buildings that also houses a ping pong table and foosball table! The property has a rich history but all the modern touches you could want. It had all the things that make Ireland such a special place - great setting and hospitality!
