I'll start with the two small cons: the road to the cabin is not yet paved, and while that was not an issue for us in a truck, it might be a bit of an issue for small cars. Two is that there are a lot of stairs on property. The property photos are conpletely accurate about it, though! Just expect stairs down to the front door, and stairs to the gazebo.
Pros: basically everything else! This cabin is far more isolated than many other Hocha cabins, and we felt truly secluded. There is is currently one cabin neighboring each side of this one, and one of those seemed to be under construction so we had plenty of space to ourselves!
The hosts were so incredibly sweet and allowed us to host a small elopement ceremony here with our parents and a handful of friends (10 people total including us and the officiant). The gazebo was an absolute dream for that purpose!! Our 10 chairs fit perfectly, and the stairs and walkway to the gazebo made for a lovely aisle walk. We hosted a short cookout with the small group afterward, and the porch was a perfect size to accommodate everyone.
We stayed for several days after the elopement. It's a perfect getaway. We greatly enjoyed the jacuzzi, reading on the porch with the sounds of birdsong and the burbling creek, and the luxury of both an indoor shower and an outdoor shower. The kitchen was well-appointed and had every supply you could need for cooking - just bring food & drinks. We'll be back soon!!
