Our organization hosted our first retreat at Swimming with the Stars and had a great experience. There was plenty of communal space to move around and spread out for break-out sessions, large meetings, and meals. The view can't be beat and we enjoyed the single rooms. A gentle recommendation would be to put the number of beds vs the number the space that potentially sleeps, as our group were colleagues predominately over the age of 30. Overall we had a great time and highly recommend this place, especially to families. Even when a storm moved in during our stay and a few trees snapped that narrowly missed our vehicles, it still was quite a memorable and successful event.
To other groups traveling, we admit the directions are a bit cumbersome for our single-car drivers, as a few of our guests got lost, fortunately, the wifi allowed us to drop a pin to navigate everyone successfully.
For the owners: There was a stack of dirty dishes in the pantry we noted a few broken items we want to ensure we let you know about, we took photos to share if that is helpful; 1) an Adirondack 2) a foot rung in the upstairs bunk 3) two of the metal dining chairs were broken, one was missing a bolt and would break soon (we set them both aside) 4) paper towel holder falling off the wall in the back bedroom down the hallway
Mvto! (Thank you)
