Firstly, absolutely fantastic view, one of the best I’ve experienced. Very characteristic property with quirky features but the beds were not the most comfortable. Unfortunately, being in such a desirable location does have its pitfalls, the wind on one of our nights was horrific and as you can imagine drafts were felt in every room which made it even colder than the previous night. I would say that in the Summer you’d be fine but during the Spring break our young child really struggled in the chilly conditions. Again, the location is stunning but with the funicular railway being closed, it was extremely difficult to get up to Brunate. On the first afternoon, we opted for an Uber and the driver dropped us in Brunate which cost £25. We then had to try and locate the apartments which took an age as no sign posts actually inform you of the building names or street etc… some time later, and after asking a few locals (who couldn’t help either) we stumbled upon a resident of the apartments who provided us with access etc. I would say the communication from Expedia, Vrbo et al was not particularly great as I didn’t receive any email asking for identification etc which when completed, then triggers an email with directions to access the premises. I was also under the impression that a breakfast ‘hamper’ was provided but this is simply a few coffee pods and a biscuit.
