I am from Buffalo and my family, and I were in town for a memorial service for my uncle. We were also celebrating the amazing person he was, and life led. The house reminded us of the house where we grew up, so it was perfect. It was clean, welcoming, comfortable, convenient and the communication with the host was fantastic! Thanks for your great hospitality!
1st time using VRBO and will definitely do it again. We found the property to be located perfectly to be able to go to the Bills game in Orchard Park, to see Niagara Falls and catch our nieces volleyball game in Oswego (2 hr drive but worth it). We loved being able to cook meals instead of having to eat out all the time. The hosts were quick to answer questions. The places was very clean and well maintained!
We could not have been any more please with our accommodations in Buffalo. Location was perfect to restaurants, to stadium and easy access to Niagara Falls. The house was easy access, well stocked with anything we needed and comfortable for a quick weekend away. Communication with the property manager was always timely. I would recommend you stay here for either a large group of 10 like we had or even smaller groups! Thank you for your hospitality!
This is a second and third level apartment. Our stay was end of May into June. Night #1, when we arrived it was 80 degrees outside and hotter on the second level. The third floor was unbearably hot. The listing said weâd have window units beginning in May. We found 1 small window unit in a closet and put it in ourselves. The second level bedrooms were hot and miserable overnight. It was 18 hours before someone came to put the other units in.
The second floor bathroom tub was stained yellow. Third floor bathroom tripped the GFCI every other time we turned the bathroom light on. We were a party of 8 and there were not enough towels for 3 nights without access to a washer/dryer.
The kitchen is hard to cook in. You have 18â of countertop space and no outlet over that 18â.
Night #2, the smoke alarm malfunctioned at 4:30am. Got everyone out and called 911. The Buffalo fire dept disabled it and confirmed there was no threat. But a 4:30 evacuation was not on the itinerary for this trip.
Would not stay here again.
Disappointing Experience--One Day Without Electricity
Iâm writing to strongly discourage you from rolling the dice and staying at this apartment. We were so excited to gather all of our siblings and our children from across the country to stay together. On the day when we all arrived the electricity failed. Because the owners were not in the country (we learned they live in Greece for a portion of the year) we were dealing with a property manager who was very compassionate but not empowered to assist us meaningfully. My very competent brother in law of course tried to flip the switches in the circuit breaker in the morning and in the afternoon but to no avail. So we had to spend the day out of the apt while the property manager tried to get a hold of the owners to get an electrician. Upon our return, six hours later and at 4:30pm we still had no electricity. The electrician finally arrived and attended to the circuit breaker which worked. He told us that the electric wiring was wired in a way that all the wires were leading to the same side of the breaker. We asked him why we couldnât do it on our own and he said the entire breaker needed rewiring so it was not unexpected that our attempts failed. We lost so many hours to this experience and when we asked for a partial refund by the owners they denied us. The place is nice and clean. Please note it is in a sketchy neighborhood and if you are not familiar with Buffalo this really is off the beaten path with dodgy activity one avenue over. If you are willing to pay the prices they are asking for, I recommend staying at a place that will be more responsive to your needs both during your stay and afterwards.
The place was clean and cute. We had to go through a series of keys to get into the two apartments. The only complaint was back stairs are narrow and steep.
