My wife and I recently stayed at the Silver Spur Motel in Burns, OR during our road trip from Phoenix to Portland, and we were thoroughly impressed by the experience. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and budget-friendly place to stay along Highway 20, this is a great option. What stood out most to us was how welcoming and friendly the staff were from the moment we arrived. They made check-in quick and easy, and were genuinely kind—something you don’t always find these days. We were also traveling with our dog, and were pleased to learn they are dog-friendly with a modest $30 pet fee, which is much appreciated by pet owners like us. The room was very clean and everything worked just as it should. Yes, the furnishings are a bit dated, but they’re well-maintained and fully functional. We weren’t looking for luxury—we wanted a quiet, affordable place to rest after a long drive, and the Silver Spur delivered exactly that. Conveniently located right off Hwy 20, it’s close to restaurants and gas stations, which made getting back on the road the next day a breeze. If you’re expecting a high-end, modern hotel, this may not be the fit for you. But if you want a reliable, affordable, and pet-friendly stopover with excellent customer service and clean rooms, we highly recommend the Silver Spur Motel in Burns OR

Great little place

Currently in the process of renovating. The woman at the desk was friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and nice and comfortable. Good place to stop for the night. I will definitely be staying there again when travelling that way.

While the staff was kind and pleasant, the room is very outdated and does not match online pictures. The room appeared to be under construction and probably shouldn't have been rented out.

If you're looking for a place to just sleep, it will do. There was a queen sized bed, an old wooden desk with an old wood chair that matched the desk and a flat screen TV on the desk. It would have been nice to have a somewhat comfortable chair in the room. The wooden chair didn't cut it. There was an old nightstand next to the bed with a lamp on it. I grew up in this town, the last time I stayed there was 1988 for my 10 year reunion. I'm pretty sure the mattresses haven't been replaced for many years. It looks like they have been renovating for a long long time. If the owner could put some money in to this place, it has potential. That being said, it would take a lot of money. The manager was very friendly. I love my home town and the people that live there. Like I said, if you're just looking for a fairly inexpensive place to lye your head down for the night, it will do. I couldn't even find an ice machine. I stayed three nights. I thought about checking out after the first night. I stayed because it was clean and I don't need all the frills. An ice machine would have been nice. I'm sorry for the blunt review, but I call them like I see them.
