Overall a great experience with the host. They provided all the details and instructions on how to detour and get to the property since the Road 321 was still out. Location is very close to Watauga Lake and you pass a spot to put in a boat on your way to the rental. The cabin was very clean overall. The rental sits on a hillside and you get a nice view of the mountain. There is not a view of the lake but itâs very close. The bed on the main floor was soft. Kitchen is well equipped. Dishwasher is older and very loud. Appreciated the cable and the WiFi. Stay was very quiet and peaceful.
I absolutely loved our stay at the Majestic Peak cabin. It was clean and secluded. We weren't far from any nature walks or trails. We will definitely be coming back!
This cabin was very picturesque. The views were absolutely spectacular waking up first thing in the morning to see the sun rise over the mountains was really beautiful. The sunsets were also spectacular.
We particularly enjoyed walks to the lake, although I needed more specifics from the host to figure out how to get to the lake access point. We enjoyed skipping stones and the peacefulness of the lake.
We were a little disappointed that there was no Wi-Fi while we were there, but the movie collection was quite expensive and in the four days we vacation my 17-year-old watched every single movie. The library provided was so extensive that everyone in the family managed to find something to read at some point and the weather was so wonderful. We just sat on the deck and read books. We enjoyed using the fire pit and the kitchen was extremely well equipped meeting all of our cooking needs, We did not go out to eat. Our host was gracious about compensating us for the lack of Wi-Fi. We were also very glad to be able to enjoy this particular spot with our family Dog.
The whol family enjoyed the mountain view cabin including the pup!
Quiet, isolated....so enjoyed a hot cup of coffee on a crisp morning enjoying the solace and the view!
Thank for sharing
This cute cabin had everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend in the mountains. We spent one day exploring Boone,NC and the other one hiking the trail to Laurel Falls. The fall colors were beautiful and the location was remote and peaceful.
We came to attend the weekend wedding of extended family at Sugar Hollow. It was a perfect location in reference to wedding activities. Majestic Peak fit our family perfectly.
Our family had a wonderful time at this clean, good size cabin. We were pleasantly surprised that although there are only 2 bedrooms, there are twin beds in the finished walk-out basement which meant the kids had there own bed (no sharing!). Kitchen was stocked, 2 full bathrooms, and the deck views were awesome. We would of preferred a little more of a sit around fire pit area, but what is there was fine and we made it work. The moon at night was amazing! James was very responsive anytime we asked a question. Minutes to marina, places to eat and close to Elizabethton which we toured on a rainy day. We would definitely come back!!
Well appointed, peaceful mountain retreat with everything you need for a short or long stay.
This property definitely lives up to its billing! Every view from the deck is breathtaking. The interior is all wood planking which gives you the real deal for a mountain retreat. Very comfortable furnishings. Upstairs and downstairs is great for families who want space. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a laundry for self sustainability. If you book, make note of the directions from the owner, cell service is spotty.
We had the most wonderful stay during our time in Butler. This place is absolutely beautiful. It is located on a hilltop very close to Watauga Lake with the most gorgeous views. We stayed during the winter so not much outdoor living, but this place would be a real treat in warmer months with the two level decks. We visited this home as a get away for our family to reconnect after a year-long deployment. We had a great time putting together puzzles and playing scrabble at the dining room table. Would love to visit again in warmer months. The owner took great care of us during our visit and communicated often to resolve any issues we had during our stay.
We had a lovely stay at this property. We had two dogs accompany us and they absolutely loved the large backyard. The kitchen was fully stocked with what we needed to cook our meals. We even enjoyed some of the games they had tucked away during our down time. There was a bit of confusion at the beginning because this property was recently bought by a new owner. However, James, quickly cleared everything up and we had a flawless stay. We spent our time snowboarding at Beech Mountain, which was about 45 minutes away from the house. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
