I loved the beach access/location, the staff members' were particularly nice and provided excellent service, the property was spacious and had different dining options we liked. The three hotels were clean overall.
I didn't like that they charged us a "donation" to the hotel owner's non-profit at check out--charge the owner's non-profit is potentially making tax deductible. I am sure many people don't even know what they are charging and they don't opt out.
The food quality varied depending on the time of the day, restaurant, etc. Same for the pool water cleanness. The pools were dirty at sunset, but clean at rose and blanco. Way too many flies on top of food at sunset/rose the day we arrived, the staff could have been more proactive at taking care of the flies. No hand soap on general access bathrooms. Some activities were cancelled (i.e., kids' club was closed) because of "low season", but no body warned us about it and the change in hours of operation was not listed in the hotel's app.
