Brilliant ! Everything you could need in a comfortable yet spacious enough little cabin on the edge of the loch. Perfect hosts provided a lovely little get away. Comfy bed, lovely shower and a great little kitchen to cook a meal in the evening after exploring in a fab area . Thoroughly recommend

Absolutely amazing cabin, very private surrounded by beautiful scenery. Everything provided for a relaxing stay, and Louisa was a brilliant host, extremely welcoming with lots of recommendations and always on hand to make sure our stay was perfect. 10/10, will recommend to friends and family and will definitely be back!

Mini break in May

Stunning location and wonderful hosts. Our 2nd May visit to the cabin and we are already planning the 3rd. All the peace and beautiful scenery you could wish for along with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Not far from Glasgow and surrounding areas and the drive up past the Loch's and onwards is breathtaking. Can't wait to return.

A perfect Christmas in Seal Point Cabin by Lock Fyne! What could be better in more beautiful surroundings? Louisa gave us an enthusiastic welcome and even a loaf of freshly baked sourdough bread hot from the oven. Delicious! Seal Point Cabin is dog-friendly too, and our labrador Marnie loved being beside, and in, the loch. The cabin has everything you need for compact living for two persons and the bed and funiture were extremely comfortable. Even though the temperatures outside dropped to minus degrees the cabin was warm enough and cosy. Locally there was plenty to do and see despite lots of things being closed for the winter. All the comments in the visitor's book were very positive and provided lots of ideas for places to visit. We highly recommend Seal Point Cabin. Thank you Louisa and Peter!

2nd visit Cairndow

Our 2nd visit, on our return from Isle of Harris, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabin was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable with good quality beddiing. Situated in a beautiful spot, overlooking Lich Fyne, and we have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Stunning cabin location

We stayed for 3 nights late Spring at Seal Point Cabin. We received a warm welcome from the owner. The cabin was well equipped, clean and with many home comforts. The location and views around the cabin were absolutelly stunning, made even more perfect by beautiful dunny weather. A perfect place to switch off and relax.

Beautiful cosy cabin

Just returned from a lovely short break at Seal Point Cabin. It's in a beautiful spot looking out over the loch with views from every window. It's beautifully furnished and finished with everything you could need for a relaxing, romantic stay. The weather was pretty awful when we were there but we still managed to sit out on the covered deck, wrapped in the blankets thoughtfully provided by Louisa. Highly recommended for a cosy couples getaway.

A wonderful escape from the World!

This cosy little cabin on the banks of Loch Fyne is a wonderful escape from the World in a beautiful, unspoilt setting. Well appointed with efficient use of space and high quality and modern furnishings. Louisa and Peter are very considerate and welcoming hosts who make you feel right at home. We enjoyed it so much, we stayed an extra day!

Absolute stunning location

Wow…. What a stunning location with amazing views. Louisa is the best host. Her spaniel Emma is adorable. We had a wonderful stay, and so had our dog, his own loch to swim in…. Simply incredible!

I honestly cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back. From the moment we arrived and to the moment we left, our hosts were friendly and just a quick message away if we needed anything. The cabin was private, quiet, clean, cute and comfortable. The views are amazing and we even got to see a family of otters in the loch! There are some fantastic walks right from your front door and more to do and see in nearby towns including Inveraray. I felt so happy and relaxed the whole time. We loved it!

This little cabin is one of the most perfect places we have stayed in . From the moment we arrived to the moment we left nothing was too much for our hosts. The cabin had every thing you could possibly need to make our stay one we will never forget . I don’t think you could get a more perfect location. We could have spent a whole week just at the cabin taking in the beautiful views . A truly rare find .

Perfect relaxation

Our cabin was stunning. Very comfy bed, well appointed kitchenette, lovely shower. Very clean and comfortable. The view from the cabin was fantastic. We had a perfect 2 night break. Our dog really enjoyed his walks and swims. Welcome pack included wine and bikkies for us and treats for woof. Louisa made us feel very welcome indeed. Looking forward to our next visit. Perfect romantic getaway

Seal point cottage is exactly as good as it looks. The cabin is stunning. Cosy but not cramped. The location was a little hard to get to but only because it's a single track road. The host was great at guiding us and directions given were spot on. It might be a little difficult if arriving for the first time in the dark but the reward is in the views. We were greeted with a warm welcome and wine and cookies. Perfect. Louisa gave us a little tour and explained how things worked. The coffee machine at the time was a Tassimo for people wanting to bring any pods but there were plenty provided. The shower had a good supply of hot water. It's small but well designed. We had a great stay at Seal Point cottage and would stay again if in the area. The skies on a clear night are stunning!!

Idyllic Retreat

Sublime secluded location with amazing views from cabin porch. The cabin is itself is fantastic, novel quirky design (you quickly get used to small doorway!) and superbly appointed inside, roomy and comfortable. The hosts could not have been more helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Whilst there are many places nearby one could drive out to, we found our days were filled by simply walking along the lochside and beach with our young border collie, swimming from the beach area 100 yds from cabin, watching and spotting wildlife, and simply taking the time to just chill in beautiful and calming surroundings. We even managed to catch the sea otter family swimming just in front of the cabin as well as a few seals.

Amazing getaway for wedding anniversay

We booked this for last week of May 2024 and had stunning weather during our 3 night stay. The cabin and it's location are stunning. As best as the pictures try they truly don't do the cabin justice. It has to be seen to be believed. The facilities are perfect, comfy as it gets and awaking in bed looking out the window overlooking the loch is unforgettable. If you're not heading out to Inverary (20mins drive) for places to eat, do bring supplies with you as shop options are limited on this side of the loch, and they do close early. The hosts are great and super helpful. Can't fault anything, even the longish drive is actually really nice and enjoyable! We've been to a few glamping spots over the past few years and this is hands down our new fave and will be returning for sure.

A wonderful stay at Seal Point Cabin

My sister and I stayed at Seal Point Cabin las week. We had chosen to stay around Loch Fyne to revisit places we had stayed on holiday as children 40 years ago. The location was just PERFECTION! Idyllic and peaceful and beyond our expectations. Louisa's hospitality when we arrived was incredibly warm and friendly. She gave us a rundown of things inside the cabin/how everything worked etc and had provided recommendations on places to eat nearby. The cabin itself was so cute and cosy. We really looked forward to coming back to it each night after a day of exploring. All the home comforts you could need are inside whilst outside there is a firepit where we toasted marshmallows. The cabin is situated right on the loch so of course a dip in the saltwater was a must do activity. We will absolutely come back to Seal Point - its a little piece of heaven and we had the best holiday because of it. Huge thanks to Louisa :)

Picture Perfect Place for a Peaceful Stay

The plan to stay in Seal Point Cabin was to achieve a level of rest and relaxation that was sorely missing from our lives in recent times. There are many lovely places to visit for a short break throughout our favoured west coast of Scotland but the photos and description of this place in Cairndow completely had us hooked. We love all things unusual and quirky anyway and the design and look of the cabin is a huge draw but wow, the setting is something else! To wake up and be able to still see that early morning view from the bed was just wonderful. It was a joy to sit outside on the porch and just listen to the wildlife while trying to soak up the views across the loch, watching the mist and clouds rolling over the hills and dissipate away down to Inveraray. We had already visited the immediate local areas last year so didn't feel the need to explore much further than Dunoon (potential property/job hunting), and the pathway alongside the loch, in front of our cabin was enough of a stroll for us. We really did not want to venture too far away from our relaxing home from home! We did however love walking alongside and then into the loch to experience wild swimming for the first time, again another amazing feeling and a definite 'must repeat' on future trips. A big thank you must go to our lovely friendly hosts, Louisa and Peter, not to mention the effervescent Emma and the chatty domestic guinea fowl for providing the on-site entertainment! This is a beautiful, well designed holiday home with everything you need for a peaceful stay, and our hosts were on hand, if required, for any queries or help, or just a friendly wave 'good morning' as they went by. We would love to visit Seal Point Cabin again to take in the views and recharge the proverbial batteries, and this stay has most definitely been added to our happy memory banks.
