DO NOT BOOK.I corresponded with the hotel prior to my arrival for a free pick up at the airport, as they advertise.I am an older woman traveling alone. Upon my arrival at 1am, Adel texted that he was having the driver take me to another hotel because Galleria's elevator was not working (actually not installed YET). I told him NO. I needed to be taken to the Galleria. After a 50 min drive, the driver stopped down a dark alley to a building with an open door. No hotel sign. I refused to get out of the car. I was very scared. It was now 2am. Adel came out and got in the car with me & the driver. They took me to Galleria (sign outside)another 20-30 min away. Turns out the elevator is not "broken." There is a major renovation occurring, with the addition of 4 more floors. My room on the 2nd floor (no rooms open above me) had no toilet paper, no trash can, no hot water, no hair dryer, no A/C remote, no safe and the shower (no tub) did not work to come out of the shower head. So they moved me to another room. I never got to bed until 4:15am. I know that Muslims pray 5x/day & that is perfectly fine. But please be aware that a very loud speaker for 4:45am prayer comes on for 15-30 min. The owner sold me a full day tour to Alexandria (2.5 hr one way) but didn't tell me he had no tour guide for me! I told the driver to take me back to the hotel. Owner also asked for $20 to take me back to the hotel even when they advertise free shuttle to the airport. Do not book here. Worst stay ever.
