The hotel is very nice. The surrounding area is very dark at night and extremely difficult to navigate on the narrow unlit street, and the sidewalk is totally unsafe to walk on.

We had a wonderful stay at the The president hotel. The service was superb and the hotel has everything that we needed. The Terrace has delicious food and the breakfast has a nice spread. The location is fantastic for walking to local restaurants and cafes. I felt very safe in the area. Thank you’d a wonderful hospitality.

Our stay at The President Hotel was lovely. We were only in Cairo for 2 nights but this was the perfect base. The hotel itself is really nicely decorated with everything you could need. The staff were super helpful and always there in case we needed anything, especially the reception team. Breakfast in the Terrace bar was really good and portions were also a really good size. A special shout out to Dahy who arranged our trip to the Pyramids, he sorted everything at really short notice and kept checking on us throughout the day to make sure we were ok. A lovely place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the president hotel. The staff were really friendly and we were thankful to be able to check in early after a long flight that arrived at 5am. This cost an additional $40 which we didn't think was unreasonable. The overall experience was great. The neighbourhood was great and very walkable with some nice restaurants by the Nile in close proximity. There was a bit of noise from the local school but nothing that kept us awake. The air conditioning in the room wasn't the greatest and the safe didn't have any batteries, so we couldn't use that. Staff did offer to help but we decided against it. Overall I would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in Zamalek.
