Boutique Motel

This is a motel and is excellent for the type of property. Ample parking, decent size rooms and super friendly staff. The motel supplies plush bathrobes, renovated bathrooms (bathtub replaced with large shower), fridge, coffee maker, iron & ironing board and ear plugs. If you are on the ground floor rooms, you can hear the people in the room above walking or moving chairs but only during waking hours. This did not bother us but it may others. Very pleasant accommodation for a motel. Very convenient location for my early morning appointment at the Foothills hospital.

The Centro Motel is a lovely spot to stop in whether for a night away from the kids like we did, or for travellers to stay while on their way to or from Banff like some others we met while staying there. Clean rooms and friendly attentive service with all the amenities you’d want close by.

This is what we used to call a motor inn. There are a few similar properties in the immediate area. The owners are renovating this old motel to give it a new life.Fortunately they’ve removed the carpets, always so nasty in these old motels. New doors on the rooms would be good next step. I chose it because it was less expensive than most motels. Calgary is so extremely over priced in all aspects. The front desk staff is excellent, very courteous and the room is clean. Ear plugs are provided in the room to alleviate the traffic noise. The bed is comfortable and the ac works. There are take out restaurants and gas stations beside the motel. So for a one night stop it’s fine. The parking lot is full overnite so the motel is meeting a market need for sure.
