Our holiday home is the ideal starting point for a relaxing and active holiday on the Portuguese island of Madeira in the Atlantic. Enjoy your stay individually, away from the mass tourism, completely relaxed in our house. For a comfortable living in the cooler season provides a installed by a German company hot water floor heating. The house is located 300m above sea level with a breathtaking view of Madeira's original southern coastline! Are you looking for a holiday home that you have been dreaming about for a long time? You found it!
Completed in the summer of 2011 under German construction management and participation of a German craft company house is located in the district of Calheta. Here you have a wonderful panoramic view of the mountains, the sea and the sunset.
The house has a very generous terrace area and a total of 120 square meters of living space. It has been built at ground level and has 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 bedroom with bunk beds). Living room, dining room, bedrooms 1 and 2 have floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors with access to the terrace.
Bedroom 1, kitchen / living, dining room have sea views.
Bedroom 2 has an additional TV.
The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, microwave, gas stove, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, kettle, egg cooker, toaster.
The living room has a cozy sitting area with satellite TV (with international channels) music system with radio and CD player.
A sufficient and fast internet connection is of course available.
The house has a modern bathroom with walk-in shower, adjustable washbasin and disabled WC / toilet. Outside the house, a washing machine and a clothes dryer are available in a utility room. There is also a guest toilet available.
The large terrace offers a beautiful view of the sea and has a nice barbecue area as well as a cozy seating area and sunbeds.
It's a great place to relax with a glass of wine after a nice day of vacation.
Portuguese, also English speaking contact person and administrator on site.
During your stay at this holiday home, you'll be close to Casa das Mudas Arts Center. Laundry facilities are available. The holiday home includes amenities such as a kitchen and a TV.

The property, booking experience and the help from Carlos was great. The only comment was there is no hot tub which was listed. Huge terrace, brilliant view, everything to our expectation and some lovely sun sets.

Fabulous!

We stayed in this lovely house in late November 2022. It was extremely clean and had every kitchen appliance you could need. Tons of natural light, and we opened all the doors to get the cross breezes (since the weather was beautiful the whole time). The bathroom was very clean and the water pressure was good. The best pics we took were right off the terrace....views were awesome, no sunset was the same, and they were all incredible. Carlos, our caretaker was very friendly (he even helped my husband change a tire on our rental car), popped by to water the grass/plants (and let us know when he got there), & also came by the night before we left to say good-bye. There is a locking gate at the driveway, and the house was very secure. While we're used to barking dogs, the rooster(s) were another matter! While they weren't super bothersome (all part of the charm), they may startle you in the (VERY) early hours of the morning! The only problem a new guest may have is actually finding the house; your GPS will take you well past it, and when you turn around you have to look for the house number by the gate...the house roof is actually (almost) ground level to the street and blocked by the gate so, easy to miss (we weren't the only ones, a taxi came to take us to our excursion meeting place, and she passed it as well). We had a wonderful stay in this house and would highly recommend it!

Breathtaking view, nice stay

I traveled with my daughter. We received all the instructions in advance, contact for the local man, who met us there, so the arrival was easy. As a gift, we even received a bottle of Madeira, a local honey cake and bananas - thank you very much. Kitchen is very well exuipped. Master bedroom has view, second bedroom doesnt. Just the pillows could be replaced, they are not comfortable ať all. Our stay was perfect, perhaps only one small thing disturbed our stay, and that was our neighbor's rooster He woke us up every day around 4:00 in the morning, sometimes earlier. But at least we soon set out to explore the island. Thank you for a wonderful holiday in your house.

Lovely house with fantastic views. Convenient for main ring road around island and also easy to get to mountains in central Madeira. Some noise from neighbouring dogs and cockerels, but overall quiet location. Good communication with Thomas, we had very small query re TV and he dealt with it immediately. Really enjoyed our stay.

Presque un rêve, tant c'est inimaginable de se retrouver comme chez soi dans une telle maison ! La première chose qui saisit depuis l'extérieur et une fois entrés dans la maison c'est une vue immense entièrement dégagée, comme depuis un vaisseau, avec l'océan en face de soi et les reliefs ascendants des montagnes sur les côtés. C'est ensuite un espace intérieur ample, qui offre différentes zones selon l'activité et le goût de chacun, et qui donne sur l'océan et les reliefs montagneux du fait des grandes baies vitrées. Les diverses pièces sont disposées de façon claire et agréable, la cuisine offre tous les appareils et objets utiles, les matelas sont de bonne qualité. Il existe un chauffage au sol, que nous avons évité d'utiliser. Ce qui nous est apparu au départ comme une limite, à savoir la distance depuis Calheta, les restaurants, Pingo doce, ne l'est pas en réalité, car la route se fait rapidement (en moins de dix minutes). Le contact avec Carlos a été simple et en toute confiance, accoutumés que nous sommes à Madeira, notamment Calheta et Paúl do Mar, où nous séjournons chaque année plusieurs semaines depuis une quinzaine d'années. Le lien avec les propriétaires a été simple et efficace.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus

Wir haben den Aufenthalt im Höfner-Ferienhaus von der ersten bis zur letzten Sekunde genossen. Die Terrasse mit dem Blick aufs Meer ist umwerfend und wir haben uns daran nicht sattsehen können.Das Haus war blitzsauber, vor Ort hat uns Carlos sehr liebevoll empfangen und uns in alles eingeführt. Bei kleineren Fragen stand er stets parat, er kam während unserer Zeit bisweilen auf das Gelände, um die Außenanlagen zu versorgen; auch die Schwägerin des Besitzers hat zwischenzeitlich nach uns gesehen und gefragt, ob wir mit allem versorgt sind.Das Haus ist sehr zweckdienlich und liebevoll, wohnlich eingerichtet und sehr geräumig, die Kücheneinrichtung ist sehr umfassend. Die Abfahrt auf das Grundstück ist recht steil, aber mit etwas Übung kann man sie rückwärts gut bewältigen, rauf ist dann einfach.Tagsüber kann es heiß werden, abends / nachts kühlt es aber sehr schön ab - mit den beiden Sonnenschirmen kann man die Terrasse gut zu allen Tageszeiten nutzen, aber ein Verbesserungsvorschlag wären in den Schlafzimmern Insektenschutzfenster bzw. -türen, um die Fenster bzw. Schiebetüren auch nachts offen lassen zu können. Im großen Schlafzimmer gibt es eine Klimaanlage.Die Gegend ist recht dicht besiedelt mit Menschen und Tieren, man ist also nicht gerade einsam, aber die Geräusche der Zivilisation haben uns nicht gestört. Ein Auto ist unbedingt notwendig, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind nicht fußläufig erreichbar. Der Standort ist sehr gut geeignet für Ausflüge in alle Richtungen.

Villa con fantásticas vistas al océano

Pudimos disfrutar de una excelente estancia con muy buena ubicación y tranquilidad. Limpieza impecable. Carlos, la persona encargada de darnos las llaves, muy atento y agradable. Se preocupó en todo momento de que no nos faltara de nada.Por poner algo negativo, que no las camas no tenían sábanas, solo tenían un edredón. Para nosotros fue bastante incómodo dormir así, acostumbrados a dormir siempre en una cama con sábanas, algo normal, por lo menos en España y Portugal. Carlos intentó ayudarnos, pero el anfitrión no disponía de sábanas, ya que las camas siempre las viste sólo con un edredón.Creemos que este punto debería mejorarse y dar la opción a los huéspedes de tener sábanas, para quien suela dormir con ellas.

toller Urlaub

Auch wir haben uns in diesem tollen Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und möchten gerne wieder kommen.Das Klima sowie die Höhenunterschiede auf Madeira waren für uns erst mal sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Da hat es uns sehr geholfen, dass wir uns in dem Haus wie zuhause gefühlt haben.Der Kontakt zu Carlos und Herr Höpfner war supernett. Es fehlt an nichts und es ist sehr ruhig und erholsam.

Traumausblick

Perfekte Unterkunft.

Durch die gute Lage der Unterkunft ist man mit dem Mietwagen sehr schnell an vielen schönen Orten im Südwesten der Insel, aber auch in Rabacal oder Fanal. Die Wohnung ist sauber, sehr gut ausgestattett und die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist wunderschön. Ein Highlight, gerade bei tieferen Temperaturen, ist die Fußbodenheizung.

Tolles Haus mit fantastischem Blick über Calheta und übers Meer!

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in einem sehr schönen Haus. Alles war sehr sauber, modern und gepflegt. Der Blick vom Wohnzimmer und Schlafzimmer durch die bodentiefen, aufschiebbaren Fenster war genial, Die Matratzen in den Schlafzimmern waren sehr gut. Das Wohnzimmer war sehr schön und gemütlich, die Küche gut ausgestattet. Carlos, der Verwalter war sehr nett und die Übergabe hat super geklappt.

Wir hatten eine herrliche Zeit in einer sehr schönen und gut gelegenen Unterkunft. Wir wurden herzlich,und sogar auf deutsch, begrüßt und uns wurde alles wichtige erklärt und gezeigt. Bei Problemen hätten wir uns direkt an Carlos wenden können. Die Ausstattung war super und wie beschrieben. Auch die Aussicht von den Terrassen war herrlich, sowohl auf das Meer als auch in die Berge. Von der Unterkunft konnte man in kurzer Zeit alles erreichen. Eine zu empfehlende Ferienwohnung die alles hat was man brauch. Leider war unsere Zeit dort zu kurz.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Gute Ausstattung, schöne große gräumige Wohnung mit traumhaftem Ausblick von einer tollen Terrasse. Der Hausmeister war uns bei der Anreise eine sehr große Hilfe.
