We are so glad we chose The Bergson for our stay in Calistoga, so near the action of the hot springs and restaurants. The establishment is a quaint country inn, thoroughly modernized and comfortable. We felt away from it all in our private room. The staff even heated up our space ahead of our arrival so that when we came in out of the rain, we felt welcome. And they delivered our chosen breakfast to our door in the morning! We will return soon!

I booked on Expedia a room at the Bergson in Calistoga cause I am a Disabled Veteran waiting to go to Yountville VA Home I am injured from Navy special Operations and have a brain injury I was very excited to go today as I book far in advance I walk into the lobby and gio the desk clerk was darling said ask for my credit card to hold it I said sure and handed it to hear then she said we need a deposit I was embarrassed cause being on a fixed income I didn’t have enough so she talked to her Manager and it was said that if I didn’t have the money for a deposit I would be forced to leave the property I stated that my contract did not express that either did my confirmation e mail so I walk back to my house I live in Calistoga as I was walking I was almost in tears see I also played golf as a professional and haven’t booked a room and paid for it for many many years So as I walk home I talk to god and say well at least I got up this morning and I could feed myself my children are going to be safe and have present and knowing that I won’t get my money back for the room is ok I got a phone call from the manager when I got home when she says to me me “ sir what is your problem? “ are you telling me you book a hotel room and your poor and you say your retirement from the military isn’t enough for you to cover cost for basics she laughed and said “ have you ever stayed in a hotel ? “ at that point I said in a military dad voice young lady I served two tours of war she hung up
