Une cabane confortable au début du Cambria

Le Bonny Cottage, l'une des cabanes originales de Cambria, est bien placé dans une charmante région affectueusement connue sous le nom de Happy Hill. Calme, privé, entouré d'arbres et de jardins, il se trouve à moins d'un mile des villages et de Moonstone Beach. Construit en 1923, ce chalet conserve son sens originel du charme et de l'histoire, tout en étant soigneusement aménagé pour un séjour confortable.
Il y a deux chambres avec des lits merveilleusement reposants (un roi, une reine) et des draps luxueux. Il y a une salle de bain principale ainsi qu'une salle d'eau attenante. Shampooing, revitalisant et autres articles de toilette et nécessités sont fournis.
Le salon paisible et intime dispose d'un foyer au gaz et de portes françaises qui s'ouvrent sur la lumiÚre du soleil (ou la lumiÚre des étoiles), avec une vue sur l'océan au-delà. Vous trouverez une large sélection de livres, ainsi que deux télévisions par cùble et un lecteur DVD. Il faut mentionner que le décor change pour célébrer les saisons: automne, hiver, printemps et été, chacun à son tour.
Il y a une cuisine bien équipée avec verrerie, vaisselle, ustensiles de cuisine et fournitures de base de garde-manger. Selon la météo et votre humeur, il existe également des options de grillades et de repas en plein air.

Cute little cottage amongst houses of varying architectural style, so kind of cool. It’s a walkable neighborhood if you like some inclines. Great for the pooch too! The house is cute and fairly small, the king bed was fine so my wife and I were satisfied. The kitchen was small but nice, ok for everything we needed to do. The only thing was the gas stove’s pilot light was not on so you’d have to light with a match. We did not cook anyway so no big deal. There are nice views from virtually every room. We would return for sure.

Wonderful!

This place is so cute! Very well done and decorated-large yard, great seating. So fun to come back to the house and have the ambience of all the candles. Love the history of this place. It’s immaculate and has very nice linens. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anybody.

Our stay was great. Great location in a peaceful neighborhood. Cabin outfitted with all the goods. Only thing I can complain about was the bed wasn't comfortable in my opinion.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the cottage—it exceeded all my expectations. The charming ambiance, coupled with the candles illuminating at 8 PM, made me feel right at home. It truly was a magical experience, incredibly cozy, and impressively well-stocked. The massive tree in the backyard, adorned with moss, added to the enchanting atmosphere.

Long weekend getaway

This is a sweet, romantic step back in time. So many cozy and thoughtful touches throughout. Especially loved the candles on timers and the multiple spots to sit and enjoy the views. We will definitely be back.

Perfect Getaway

We enjoyed the quietness of the neighborhood, the proximity to town and Moonstone beach, and the amenities at the cottage. The cottage is small, but had everything we needed for a relaxing few days. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the deck and enjoying our coffee in the morning, and watching the sunset in the evening. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy, peaceful cottage

My husband and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of this place. The bed in the master was very comfortable. Lots of windows throughout the house to let in the ocean breezes. We especially liked sitting at the cozy kitchen table for our morning coffee and breakfast while looking out at the trees and flowers. The kitchen was well stocked with most anything you need to prepare meals by simply adding your ingredients of choice. There was not a dishwasher but we don’t mind washing dishes. We felt like we stepped back in time enjoying the antiques and old photos on the walls of couples and friends enjoying themselves. There were lots of books and movies to watch if you desired to do so. We weren’t far from shopping and places to eat and only about 15 minutes from Hearst Castle. We would love to stay here again!

Charming Historical Cottage

This historical cottage is bright and comfortable. The antiques and old photos of people having fun add to the charm of the place. There are two decks to enjoy with a distant view of the ocean and a front yard that was frequented by groups of quail. You are walking distance to town and the beach but you do need to walk up a steep hill going back. The cottage is well stocked and has everything you may need. This is a real gem!

Happy Hill Cottage

Although the cottage was very clean. It definitely needed some maintenance done. There was no propane in the BBQ tank. The oven was in very poor working order making it hard to put a meal together. The whole was just a bit tired.

Wonderful getaway in historic cabin!

We loved staying at the cabin on Happy Hill. It was so fun to see all the pictures around the cabin. We especially loved seeing the photo of the original owners. We loved that it was a cabin built back in the 1920's and wondered if it had been one of the Hearst hunting cabins. We loved our ocean view deck and the short walk to Moonstone beach.

Just right!

This cozy older house was exceptionally clean and accommodating with everything we needed for ourselves, and our pet! The yard and deck expand the living spaces, and are warm and welcoming . A short walk from town and the beach and the hiking trails of the nature préserve it is a great base camp for walkers and runners.

Amazing cozy cottage with amazing ocean view

My sister and I have rented many places over the years although not in Cambria. This was the best rental by far. It was the perfect size for my sister and I. It was the best decorated by far (although that's an "extra" ) it was so enjoyable. The candles on timers that went on in the evenings added to the cozy feel and such a cute idea! The 2 different seating areas in the back of the cottage ...One under and "Oprah like" tree and the other with a view of the trees, garden and ocean. Then the third area, the deck with a great view of the ocean which is surprisingly close to view from being in Happy Hill and being able to hear the roar of the ocean was fabulous. A huge important piece for us was the very complete and informative Welcome binder that we found to be fantastic!!! Someone took the time to do that WELL!!!! The framed photos of a couple through out the cottage was another detail we really enjoyed!! We wished that there was more information about the history of the cottage and if the couple in the photos were connected to the cottage. All the extras in the bathrooms and the kitchen which are available to the renters was amazing (we usually bring everything as cabins/cottages are NOT so well appointed!!!! We truly felt like cherished guests in a family's home....just without the family ....although we would have loved to have shared time with the couple in the framed photos! Oh, my only suggestion would be to add blackout curtains to the 2nd bedroom for people who are not early risers and are awakened as the sunrises and the room get bright...just makes it harder to relax and sleep in especially when you're on holiday!!! Overall, we will definitely come back here when we can!

Wonderful!

Loved the home, the property, the fact I could hear and see the ocean. Decorated so lovely. Comfortable beds... I even slept in which is rare for me these days! The only downside was the neighbors barking dog right near our bedroom window but luckily that didn't go on for terribly long.
