The living area was roomy. although a few things that i felt should have been attentive to is the ceiling fan upstairs. With one blade missing and the light fixture wires hanging down appears to me a hazard. There were light bulbs out in the dining fixture and a few table lamps upstairs. All easy fixes. Smoke detector on first floor should have been replaced. With the home sleeping 8 people, we felt only 1 tv a negative. The place was clean and we did have access to a washer and dryer that we did use. We enjoyed our trip, left a day early because we felt there wasn't anything else to see. We saw what we came for. thank you.
Large home with plenty of sleeping areas. Host was excellent and left lots of suggestions for dining in the area. Host met us on arrival and made sure we knew how to work everything. Comfortable bed and lots of extra blankets and sheets if needed. Everything was in great working order and clean.
We stayed 8 nights at the property, which was a large "apartment" unit built into the back of the owner's garage. Although the apartment had an upstairs, we only used the downstairs, so only it will be reviewed here. The downstairs was very spacious, nicely furnished, and in good condition, except for a "chemical" odor in the bathroom. Also, everything worked - the AC, WiFi, TV, and kitchen appliances. The host was fabulous, even bringing us a vase of fresh flowers. The location was a bit far (1 hour drive) from the Cooperstown All-Star Village in Oneonta, where we watched our grandson play baseball. (I thought the Village was in Cooperstown itself, which is 20mi closer, when I made the reservations). Finally, the sheets on our bed need repair or replacement, as the corners were torn, causing it to slip off the mattress most nights. Nevertheless, we would definitely stay there again.
My overall impression of this property was very good. Everything was exactly as described and the owners are very nice. The place was very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and the property directions were clear and easy to follow. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to relax and have a good vacation.
A guys trip to Cooperstown was topped off with a wonderful experience relaxing in this beautiful house. Lots of beds and space to spread out for our group of 6. Beautiful scenery off the back porch. Quiet. But the best part of it all was the hospitality from our hosts. They made sure we had all we needed to make our stay easy and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again and the drive to Cooperstown was scenic and simple!
Jennifer was an outstanding host-inviting, responsive and very sweet. The property was perfect for our family of four! The hosts provided English muffins, milk and eggs, which were much appreciated. The views were great and the house was super comfortable and felt "homey" to us. The central air was amazing during the 90â°+ days. The house was situated close to town and our boys loved visiting Wintergreen Park just up the road and exploring the beautiful waterfalls. We would definitely recommend and stay again for sure!
The hosts
We had a wedding about 10 minutes from the property and it was perfect for us and our college kids to meet up. Spacious and a wonderful, quiet location for us to relax before the wedding. Plenty of space for us all to get ready and sleep comfortably. The back deck was great for us to have a few cocktails and enjoy to beautiful weather. Our stay here made our time together relaxing and enjoyable.
Ms. Jennifer was wonderful to work with. The house was exactly like the photos. Everything we needed was there and available.
She was helpful when we had questions and answered them in a timely manner. Ms. Jennifer checked in on us throughout the stay.
Super easy check in, Host was great, provided a few staples for the kitchen and drinks in the fridge, everything was set up and ready to go when we arrived. 40 min drive from Cooperstown Dream Park, but worth it to accommodate 7 adults and 1 child, as well as having handicap access for my parents.
