We loved our stay in Puerto Juarez. Jerry the host, and his two assistants Stan and Tania, are very friendly and helpful. There are 3 apts in the house - 3 bdrms on ground floor, 3 bdrms on 2nd floor (where we stayed), and 1 bdrm on top floor. Apt has a lovely view of ocean from the livingroom, with large sliding doors to enjoy the ocean breezes and swaying palm trees. Lots of electrical plugs in apt, A/Cs worked great and were quiet, and bed is comfortable. VRBO ad says full kitchen, but FYI the fridge is bar size, and stovetop/range is outside on the back common patio. There is no TV, but good wifi so can stream Netflix etc. on iPad. A few quirks - toilet doesn't always flush and shower head needs replacing (host is aware), 2nd and 3rd bdrms are not connected to the apt, must go outside to access them. Two lovely common patios - one oceanfront and other at back with lots of lovely potted flowering plants and birds (that's where the stovetop/range is, and a sink for washing dishes). Clothes washer/dryer is not in the apt and is not self-serve (host charges 300 pesos per load). High winds made the ocean murky, so we only snorkeled on 5 days, but when we did it was very good, with a small reef/boulders close to shore, and lots of fish. Isla Mujeres (ferry is a 4 minute walk away) has crystal clear and calm water (with good snorkeling at Garrafon Castilla). We liked the neighbourhood - close to lots of restaurants, and we felt safe walking at night. We would return.
