While the rooms were clean, modern, bright and spacious, the overall stay was just okay. We had called the resort directly and requested one king bed and the representative said they put that in the notes. I even spoke to Expedia and mentioned I would like a king bed which was also requested at the time of booking. The hotel gave us two double beds saying that we had requested that. We are a couple traveling to spend quality time together so having two separate beds made the experience less for us. We were shocked by how high the ratings and reviews were of this hotel. The food was mediocre and nothing we ate blew our minds. The buffet food was often room temperature and dry as if it’s been sitting out for a long time. The freshness and quality was a hit or miss. The specialty restaurants tasted ok. We have stayed at better Riu locations. Probably won’t be coming back to this one.

I stayed at this resort for my solo birthday trip and honestly had a really good experience. The resort is beautiful, clean, and the staff were very accommodating and welcoming the whole time. I felt safe and comfortable traveling alone. The food was decent with good variety, and I liked that most of the restaurants didn’t require strict reservations I was often able to just walk in and eat without any hassle. Overall it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway or celebrating something special.

I stayed at Riu Palace for three days and four nights to celebrate my birthday, and it was truly a magical experience from beginning to end. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the relaxing spa services and the beautiful birthday celebration at the steakhouse, every detail felt special. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. As my first solo birthday trip, it exceeded my expectations and made me feel celebrated, cared for, and completely at ease. I would absolutely return.

Everything was wonderful! Staff was so kind and accommodating. Food was fantastic. We found that there was little to no wait if we went right when the specialty restaurants opened. If we went later, there was a wait, but not terrible. They would give you a buzzer and you could go do whatever until it buzzed. Drinks were great! Great dessert choices, especially at the coffee shop for those late night cravings. We found that if you were down by the pools by 10am you could usually find chairs. After that, it becomes harder to find, but if you ask a staff member they will help you out! There was a good mix of ages of people while we were there. We loved the theme parties that we went to at the Caribe! It's definitely an experience! Our room was very nice and housekeeping did a great job keeping it clean, every day! We would definitely come back to this resort! It was a great vibe!
