What a wonderful resort! It was so clean, beautifully modern, staff were plenty, attentive and friendly, and the food was fabulous! My kids loved the Kids Club and we loved it as there was no need to reserve a spot and they could pick and choose activities each day. Only downside was the beach, but everything else made up for it. Would highly recommend for a family vacation.

Overall, the resort was nice! The food was good at every restaurant we went to!we booked the Platinum level reservation because we wanted an oceanview room. With that, it was really nice having access to the platinum club (i.e. super easy check-in, access to snacks and beverages, etc). My biggest complaint is regarding house keeping. Forget being platinum, I had to request for our room to be cleaned almost everyday of our 8 day stay - of which when they finally did come it was when we were getting ready for dinner, so we just asked for clean towels. When we requested extra face towels (literally 2 so that my party of 4?could each have one) it was a big deal. The pools were nice and fun for the kids! Overall, my family had a great time. No need to splurge on the platinum….i found out later you can simply upgrade your room upon arrival.

Since you can go to all 3 of the El Cid properties which are connected you can choose whatever vibe you’re looking for. Calm and relaxed or active and fun. The resort is double gated and is very safe.

We have been coming to the El Cid resorts for many years, and they never disappoint. They are a tremendous value for the money! We got a great deal on Expedia. The resorts are always clean, beautifully maintained, and comfortable. Each one is unique and it's fun to have access to all three. The food is delicious - either at the restaurants or at our favorite, Cafe Delores. It's perfect for teenagers - ours love it. Our favorite place to stay is Ventus due to it's proximity to everything. Our rooms were cleaned and restocked daily. No one does poolside service better than El Cid and it's fun to see many of the same faces still working as a hard as ever for the guests - Patty, Victor, Alberto, and Gilberto. They are amazing! We had so much fun doing stretching with Elizabeth and Alex and taking Spanish lessons with Heidi. My only complaint was it was very hard to get any dinner reservations the entire time we stayed (a bit of a bummer since the food is so good at them). We all LOVED the taco night and the Hispanic Show (but don't love the convention center - prefer outside). The beach is what it is, but the resort is so lovely we don't mind it at all. We know how hard the staff is working to restore it. All in all, we had another wonderful trip and will be back again.

We were disappointed to not be able to get into our room until after 6 pm, especially since check in is at 3. I booked 2 rooms and was given only 2 WiFi passwords, when I should have received 4. I asked multiple times for an upgraded room and was often met with how couldn’t or that it would cost thousands of dollars, yet our friends were given many options and an amazing deal. That all said, I would go back here for multiple reasons: felt safe, many extremely kind staff, amazing food options all over the premises, unlimited good cocktails, extremely clean environment, multiple pool options, one party pool and many quiet pools, a variety of chairs/loungers/tables/couches outdoors, great views from the rooms, etc… no one got sick-they do a great job giving you only filtered water and ice.
