We stayed for our honeymoon. This hotel gave us a great place to stay for half the price of hotels in Banff. The rooms were super clean and the building was well-cared-for. The RR tracks right behind the hotel made nights hard to sleep as 4-5 trains a night went by. The hotel didn’t have many “fancy” amenities, but it was a good place to crash each night after hikes. We’d stay again, but would use the ear plugs for sure.

We recently stayed for two nights at Basecamp Lodge in Canmore and had an exceptional experience. Our room was immaculate, spacious, and provided a high level of comfort, making our stay truly enjoyable. The convenience of having a small fridge and a pod coffee maker added to the overall ease and practicality of our accommodation. One of the highlights was the stunning mountain view from our room, which we greatly appreciated. The serene and picturesque scenery added a special touch to our visit. Additionally, the location was very convenient. It was close to main grocery shops and restaurants, and just a few minutes' drive from the town centre, making it easy to access all that Canmore has to offer. We are thoroughly satisfied with our stay and will definitely book again on our next trip to Canmore. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped place to stay.

Room was clean and hotel new. Train runs right behind hotel and can be heard throughput the day and night. It's not as loud as you would expect. Can still sleep through it.

The parking situation was okay - though the lot is fairly small and one-way, with tight stalls that require some caution, it was still manageable with both front and back parking available. The property itself felt functional and cozy, and I really enjoyed the layout of the room. The only drawback was the cleanliness of the shower floor, which had dark copper-brown staining that looked like hard water residue and didn’t seem to have been properly cleaned. I raised this to the hotel staff and requested for housekeeping to check but upon my return that day, it didn’t look like that was done. I also did not get further feedback from the staff. I was only there for one more night so just left it. While that part was disappointing, overall I enjoyed my stay and found the location to be excellent.

Really nice hotel, it was a situated in a wonderful area, we could walk to several stores and restaurants. The only downfall was the trains that goes right by the hotel and several times a day and night. The hotel does supply free ear plugs, but I think it should be mentioned. Besides that everything was great.
