Horrible Stay

We spent €700 for this hotel and got 2 star quality. We booked this hotel for our last night in Cannes to have a comfortable stay before a long 13 hour flight back home. However, in the middle of the night, the fire alarm went off (around 4am). The alarm continued for about 45 minutes. No announcement was made so we were unsure whether it was a false alarm, a possible threat like an active shooter, or a true fire emergency. We grabbed our robes and went downstairs to find a bunch of guests in the lobby and outside of the hotel. There were only 2 security guards on duty who were not telling us anything. They said we needed to stay down there for another 15 minutes. After an hour, they finally told us it was false alarm and that someone had set off the alarm by smoking a cigarette. After an hour of being woken up, it was very hard for us to get back to sleep. We managed to only get a few hours of sleep before a long flight home. When I reached out to management for a refund for our trouble, they said there was nothing they can do. This hotel has the worst customer service and terribly overpriced for the quality of the hotel. Hallways are carpeted and outdated, room has uncomfortable bedding and pillows, and amenities are lacking. I’d recommend staying elsewhere as this hotel value was nowhere near the price we paid for it.

Great stay! The pool area could use some TLC it was still nice, but we expected better -- we enjoyed cocktails and lounging across from the pool, but chose not to swim. We went to the beach instead. Everything else wa top notch.

The hotel private beach is chargeable

We were a bit surprised to find that the hotel private beach was chargeable - at 120 euros a day for two people! We also changed rooms as the first room was next to roadworks on the first floor. But the hotel accomodated our change of room and it was clean, the food was nice, the location very good. We didn't feel it was good value as quite easily could have stayed in the older part of town, for the price we felt that private beach access should have been less. We used the public beach and it was great.

This property is extremely over-priced for what you’re paying for. Upon check in, the front desk automatically assumed we didn’t pay for our stay prior to arrival and insinuated that I owed money for the nights we were staying. I politely reminded her that I paid in advance. Once we went into our room, it was pretty dirty. There was a huge yellow stain on the bed, the bathroom didn’t seem clean and the room was extremely warm. I had to go back downstairs and ask to mitigate the situation. The hotel eventually switched us to another room, but once we were in this new room, the toilet stopped working. I wouldn’t stay here in the future, there are much better hotels in Cannes.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and all the rooms are very clean and modern with robes, slippers, a daily stocked mini fridge and a convenient smart TV. The pool area is on the small side with only 6 sunbeds however we managed to get a bed each day, but I imagine this maybe more difficult in the summer months. There is a beach club that belongs to the hotel on Croisette beach. Prices are separate for this and vary based on the month. It would of been nice for these to be provided to hotel guests for free or heavily discounted as they remained empty our entire stay, I suspect due to cost. The staff were generally helpful, however there was a few incidences were we felt staff were quite rude, we were told we could not eat/drink our own food by the pool/outdoor seating area and the lady was really quite rude. We had checked out and had a 10pm flight so this was quite and unpleasant end to our stay after we had spent a lot of money and paid each day for drinks at the bar. Upon checkout there was room to store luggage however nowhere to get a shower. We asked if we could keep our room on to a later time on a number of occasions but were told each time to come back the next day to ask, we were told on checkout it would be €20 each hour after 1pm. Again and ideal solution would be to provide a shower room for guests, as we had to resort to using a toilet to change.
