This home has three levels and is versatile in its offerings. Well-appointed kitchen and living space for the adults, and fun activities and play areas for the kids. There is no WiFi in the home, which we found surprising. Make sure to plan accordingly.
Itâs really thoughtfully decorated and stocked. My littlest needs a milk frother her morning hot chock and I did not think to bring ours, we found one in the cupboard. The mattresses, outside of the master, could use an update. Overall it was close to the beach and market. The neighborhood was lovely and away from the constant noise in town.
House was great and the kitchen is wonderful. Plenty of room. There were a couple of exceptions. The bath/shower on the main floor isnât very functional. Itâs hard to keep water from splashing out. On our last day, the water from the main floor shower flowed to the downstairs, thru the vent. The A/C wasnât working and we had a couple of very warm days.
Our family had an amazing time during our stay. The property is beautiful and more than accomadated our needs. We will definitely be back and staying here again. Thanks so much!
An actual mattress in the smaller 2nd floor bedroom would be a huge improvementâŠthe listing gives you the impression that bedroom would be a real bedâŠand Wi-Fi would be another huge improvement.
Great house. It was very clean and very comfortable. Thereâs no Wi-Fi though. That seems weird and really needs to be added to this location. Loved our stay though.
We enjoyed the space and comfortable amenities if this house. We did not originally see that there was no internet in the listing but it forced us to unplug a bit. Kids enjoyed the game room, board games, puzzles and DVDs available. The rooms and bedding were clean and comfortable and beautiful kitchen, bathrooms and views. Would happily stay again should we visit the area.
Of course the weather is not within anyone's control! We enjoyed the home even though the weather caused the electricity to go out (so make sure you know where the candles are and the flashlights). I would encourage the owners to get internet access - this is an issue for those of us who want to spend time with family and must check in with work! Our 15 month year old needed the steps to be blocked AND still enjoyed running around upstairs and on the ground floor. The kitchen could use a few more utensils - it has a great stove and oven and great cooks, attracted to this property, need utensils! The local grocery store saved us, and we wished that more establishments were open over the holidays. Planning outings to Cannon Beach made a difference too. If you enjoy short walks to the beach, this was a lovely location!
We tried a vacasa home for the second time. The first time in Sunriver this year, the house was filthy and a lot of things were broken.
Now Cannon beach, we typically come to Cannon beach 3 times a year and stay. We love the community and the beach. I loved the listing of this home and the price looked reasonable so I snagged it. The listing is a bit misleading, there is no cable or WiFi⊠We quickly got over that because we definitely found other things to do and had a great time per usual. The house was clean, the master bedroom had quite a few rugs laying everywhere and underneath was pet stains, which was kind of gross. Other than that no complaints. Loved the steam shower in the master.
Now back to vacasa. Everyone is just rude, maybe itâs me but every single person is like talking to a computer. My daughter left her baby blanket and iPad (yes a new iPad) and I called within 4 hours of check out when we got home and realized theyâre both missing. We live in another state.
I tried to call the local number, the lady made it seem like she didnât know what vacasa was at first. Then she owned up to being a local person for them and told me sheâd check on it and I havenât heard a word. We know the items are in the home as we didnât go anywhere else.
I think the most upsetting part of this whole thing is that Iâm just trying to get someone to locate my CHILDS belongings and sheâs sitting here heartbroken her blanket is gone. Iâve called 4 times and the people just keep reciting the same thing to me. For such a LOCAL community this is so outsourced and corporate itâs not even funny.
No more vacasa for us. Maybe we will get back our missing items or maybe not. Good thing iPads locate, I will be watching where it goes at it leaves that house.
3 levels of decks to view stunning sunsets. 2 minute drive to the beach, well-stocked kitchen with chef-worthy appliances. The master suite is its own retreat. Lovely home we hope to book again and again.
The house, appliances, and furnishings were top notch. Everything was clean. The kitchen is well appointed for basic meal preparation needs. We used our T-Mobile hot spots and had no trouble visiting web sites, receiving and sending email, and streaming video.
Our family loved staying here. Such a comfortable, beautiful house. We didnât even mind when it was raining out because this house was so cozy and lovely to stay in. We canât wait to go back.
My husband, his parents and our 5 year old had an amazing stay! A bit surprised there was no WiFi, but we had a great stay nonetheless AND made us relax and enjoy each other more. Most of our time was spent at the beach anyways. You can tell this house has made some great memories. Thanks to the family who owns it, for sharing with usđ€
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful beach house for our last summer getaway before school started. We are a family of 6. 2 adults and 4 kids ages 3-12. The house had more then enough room for us. One thing I didnât realize when booking this house is that it is 3 stories high. So you will be climbing stairs all day long.
You enter to the first floor where you find the living room, kitchen, 1 bathroom, 1 bedroom and one tiny room with a trundle. Then when you climb downstairs you get to the master suite and one last bedroom.
Then down another flight of stairs, you find another full bath, and the bonus/game room and laundry.
The house was beautifully decorated which I really appreciated. Every single detail was perfection.
The beds were comfortable, clean and had soft, pillows and duvets.
The gas fire places in the living room and master suite worked beautifully and warmed up the room in minutes. The house retained heat very well in these rooms.
It was a pleasure to cook in such a beautiful kitchen, on a Viking stove nonetheless!
The house has no outdoor grill. But it does have a griddle and small gas grill on the Viking stove. I was able to grill some chicken and fish for dinner, which turned out beautifully.
Although we loved the house, I did have some concerns, which I would like to mention:
1. There are No locks on any bedrooms or bathrooms. So it was very difficult getting any privacy. We had to teach the kids, If the door is locked, knock. But that didnât always happen. Maybe bring some sticky notes that you can put on the doors to remind people to knock when the door is closed.
2. The pots and pans need to be purged and replaced. All the Teflon skillets were unusable as they were completely scratched up. So bring your own skillet.
3. The knives were horrible. No knife block. Just a few random knives which were not sharp. So bring your own knives if you plan on cooking.
4. No cling wrap or foil. So pack that to store away your leftovers.
5. The bonus room/game room was always cold. Even when we tried switching the thermostat to 72, it wouldnât budge from 68. So I believe it was broken. It would be wonderful is the game room/bonus room has some sort of comfortable seating. Like a sofa or arm chairs.
6. The washing machine was tricky. The dial is broken. Thankfully I had almost the same washing machine years ago and knew how to operate it. You have to twist the entire dial underneath the plastic knob.
While the house was comfortable, amenities descriptions were definitely misleading. Televisions, while throughout the house, did not feature live broadcasting as most logically thinking adults would assume, but were to be used only for DVDs. There was no internet connection or Wi-Fi even though Vacasa listed directions for resetting "routers".
We had a fabulous time in this lovely home. Iâm not sure if I missed a email somewhere but couldnât find any information on the check out process & what was expected.
This house was bigger and better than expected! Such a great location- a little tucked away from all the tourists, but still close enough to town. The neighborhood is lovely. We enjoyed a walk through the woods down the street from the house. The amenities offered at the house were spectacular- we loved the multiple gas fireplaces, the steam shower, wine fridge, the towel warmer, the comfortable beds, and the views! Oh not to mention the gourmet kitchen. The house has 3 stories- top floor has 2 bedrooms + living space + kitchen + full bath (with clawfoot tub); second floor (below the top floor) has 2 bedrooms (one is a GIANT master) + 1 large master bath; and bottom floor has laundry, game room, second kitchen, and full bathroom. There is a deck on all floors with ocean views. You won't be disappointed.
Our family of 6 adults had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. The openness allowed for ocean breezes to flow through the living and dining area,. The ocean view was great, and enjoying the sunset from the deck was a lovely way to end each day. The well appointed kitchen was nice as we did all of our meals at the house. The walk to the beach was easy. The master bedroom was a great retreat. The other bedrooms were good, not nearly as comfortable. Some rooms were hot, and others cold. Would have been nice to have had some fans. Shades on the glass doors of the master bath would have been nice too. Overall, this is one of the best places we have stayed in Cannon Beach and we would definitely stay again.
