Very clean and stocked with everything you need for a large family. â rustic charmâ can mean poor quality sometimes, but this house has been built with quality in mind and decorated in the same way.
We loved our stay at Sweetwater Lodge! It was the perfect halfway point between Asheville and our daughterâs wedding venue. The host was incredibly responsiveâfrom my initial inquiry through our departure. If we ever travel to the area with a large group again, this would definitely be our first choice. The lodge offered plenty of space to spread out, as well as quiet areas to relax and enjoy some time to yourself. It was also conveniently close to restaurants and grocery stores, making our stay even more comfortable.
The property was incredible!! When it says 'fully stocked', it definitely was with so many supplies. We are were so thrilled with the property, we are considering booking again for next year, even though we like to check out new places. Our host was amazing! She responded immediately to any questions or requests. We even had a power outage one night and she notified us almost immediately. Thank you so much for such a wonderful vacation!!
Priceless. We didnât lack anything. My grands were able to romp around in the yard with kickball, racing, rolling down the hill, making snores, roasting marshmallows, etc. we bought jars to catch fireflies. The played with water balloons and truly just had a ball. We sat at the table for meals, thatâs right, all 12 of us and made use of the lazy Suzy.
Thank you, Ashley, for providing the perfect Carolina home away from home. Our family of six had plenty of room and plenty of fun. From the hot tub to the pool table to sâmores at the fire pit, we had our own mountain oasis. We didnât have to worry about a thing. The house was fully stocked with kitchen essentials, toiletries, and more. Sweetwater Lodge with its mountain view and luxury living was our great escape.
This turned out to be a beautiful experience. The guidance and quick response to all our questions and concerns by our host, Ashley, made this an unforgettable trip. The house was magnificent and its location ideal for us. It was roomy and exceptionally well outfitted. The one tiny issue we had, locating an item in the house, was promptly and pleasantly responded to. I would, though, recommend some heavy carpeting to alleviate the transmission of noise, from floor to floor, especially in the bedrooms. I would recommend the property overall to anyone looking for a luxurious stay in the North Carolina mountains.
Annual birthday trip to mountains. Sweetwater Lodge by far the best house we have stayed in. Perfect size for our group with great amenities. The host Ashley could not have been more friendly and responsive to any questions. The house is absolutely beautiful with a great kitchen and amazing gathering areas. If I could give this house a 10 I would. Our entire group was thrilled with everything inside and out. Terrific location. Thanks for listing this house.
My family and I had the most wonderful week stay at Sweetwater Lodge! We all stayed weâve never stayed in a rental property that has been so well-appointed and felt so home-y and SO clean. Itâs decorated perfectly, has all kinds of modern technology (we LOVED the Sonos system) and amazing amenities. Ashley is amazing at communicating and making sure we had everything we needed. Itâs a great location to drive to downtown Asheville. We 100% recommend staying there!
We were lucky enough to find this house after our original house cancelled on us. This house lacks nothing. Ashley was easy to work with and provided more detail about the house and surrounding area then any other property we have dealt with over the years. Convenient to both The Biltmore and The Polar Express. My grandkids tell me we are going back next Christmas. We will see if we can make that work. Definitely a house everyone should consider.
This house was as beautiful in person as it was in the pictures. The house was extremely well equipped with everything and anything we could have needed. The beds were also extremely comfortable. The host was so accommodating and kind. I highly recommend this property.
Fantastic property that accomodated 6 generations of family, some whom traveled as far away as Australia. The house is very well appointed, spotless, and with a view that has to be seen to be appreciated.
Thank you for an outstanding stay at Sweetwater.
Our family of 10 stayed at Sweetwater Lodge for 6 days mid October. It was a wonderful time for us. The property is even better in person than it looks online (which is saying something!). There was plenty of space for all of us and our various life stages, the furnishings and views were gorgeous, lots of touches that made us feel right at home. As we were celebrating a few milestones, the 10 of us being able to sit at one table (the views!) for family meals was so important to us. We had sâmores on our last night and saw wild turkeys and a deer just walked through. Very special place. We highly recommend and canât wait to return again soon!
We spent 4 night at Sweetwater Lodge celebrating my wife's birthday. We were joined by our adult children and 3 grandchildren. This home was perfect for our party of 10. We were close enough to Asheville and the airport but pleasantly removed from the hustle of the city. Great place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful mountains views. This was a re-energizing 4 days. The hosts were great to work with and answered all my questions (and there were plenty) promptly and graciously. Highly recommend this property!!!
The home is gorgeous in a spectacular setting. It has everything one needs. As usual, we took some specialty utensils and pans, but they weren't needed.
Ashley is a great communicator and the check in was so easy. We appreciated the information provided in advance and made reservations at Chef's Table in Waynesville. If you like wonderful food in a cozy dining room, don't miss it.
Hopefully, we will be able to return to Sweetwater Lodge.
We had a wonderful family reunion at the Sweetwater Lodge just outside Asheville, NC. The house was beautiful and had all the high-end amenities one could possibly need. The kitchen was large and well equipped! The dining room had a very large round table where all nine of us could eat, laugh, play games, and enjoy each otherâs company. We all loved the lazy susan in the middle of the table.
We have five beautiful days of sunshine and loved the view and the sunsets! The porch is large with a wonderful table that we had fun creating âarts & craftsâ together!
Many hours were spent enjoying the great pool table and the jacuzzi! One night under the stars we had fun making sâmores.
There are large televisions in every room and music can be piped through the entire three level house.
Each day the family went on adventures that were located within a 30 â 60 minute drive; of course one was the beautiful gardens at the Biltmore Estates.
