We absolutely loved the cozy cottage It was perfect for my husband and I.We were told to put the garbage out Monday and Tuesday for recycling. However it was actually Tuesday and Wednesday. It has rained Sunday so us 70-year olds had to dump the heavy water out of the containers to be able to move them the whole way around to the front. Also, instructions for using the TV would have been nice. We missed a few late sports gĂ mes because we couldn't get anything without a password.Overall, it was wonderful. Nice place.
COZY & QUIET !!! Good for 2 people. Very comfortable and quaint. The bathroom is a little tight but the shower was great. The bikes could stand some maintenance and my granddaughter (11) was unable to find one that would work for her. I liked the outdoor patio area and overall I enjoyed my stay. Close to everything but yet isolated .
On the second morning of our one-week stay, a roofing crew showed up. When we came back from going out for breakfast, there was a 1-foot-square hole in the ceiling through which we could see the sky, and debris all over the kitchen. The host paid to put us up in a good hotel nearby for two nights while repair work was done, but after some fairly adversarial negotiations only gave us an additional 5%-6% discount on our stay. The hotel was expensive for the host, as you would expect for anything nice booked at the last minute in this area, but we felt that somebody truly focused on the customer experience would have done more for us in such a crazy situation. Once we were back in the apartment, one of the smoke alarms went off loudly in the middle of night (there was no smoke), and I had to disconnect it. BTW, it is not a cottage, but a small apartment in the back of a house. We generally liked it apart from the temporary hole in the roof, but the kitchen was missing a few key items such as basic coffee supplies. The unit supposedly sleeps 4, but I would suggest only suggest it for a couple. Some people might have trouble getting into the right side of the main bed, since it's against a wall. There was also contradictory information about the day of garbage pickup (the house manual said one day, but a sign in the kitchen said a different day).
It is a cute cottage/quarters in an old victorian home. Floors are uneven in some rooms and very squeaky. Especially from above. Outdoor area needs cleaning and organizing to be useful. Bathroom is updated but a little tight. Bed was comfortable but tight in room, up against one of the walls.
Beautiful property. Extremely clean. Has everything you would need. Keyless entry is great. Wonderful location. Gina is just great . Very responsive, answers all questions. I definitely would stay here again.
My husband & I stayed here to join other family members that were vacationing in Cape May also. This is a cozy, very clean, comfortable place to stay.
We borrowed bikes the owner had available to ride around and visit the family. We also got a lot of walking exercise in going to the Washington St mall which was right down the street and going to the beach early in the morning to see the sun rise. Just Beautiful! We found the air conditioning unit to be just fine as long as we kept it on most of the time on high cool. We did not need to use a fan we brought just in case since there was a ceiling fan in the bedroom which was wonderful to move cool air. Loved having the washer/dryer to do laundry. Honestly we couldnât have asked for anything more for this price. Thank you for such a lovely little place to stay.
This was my 2nd time at Ginaâs and it was just as amazing as my first stay! My husband and I went for our babymoon and now just returned with our 3 week old. Our bassinet fit perfectly in the nook next to the bed and Gina is so responsive with any questions I had. Definitely will return again soon đ
I stayed here with my mom and sister for a getaway. Overall, would recommend but feel as though some things should be known. The good first- the property was immaculate. Now for the things I just want to note: it is quite noisy if someone is staying upstairs. Unsure if they were the owners dogs but there was a lot of barking early in the morning and running upstairs. Also, we were woken by a vacuum in the morning (before 8 am). Next, there is no fan in the bathroom. It was very steamy in there after a shower and it is connected to the kitchen so bring some Febreze. Also, I was excited to walk everywhere based on how the listing explained everything was so close. The shopping center and most restaurants were driving or biking distance. For the price, the quaint location and the cleanliness it was worth it!

The cottage was perfect! Gina the host answered my questions quickly. Nicely furnished the bed was very comfortable with a scent of lavender on the sheets, which made it so relaxing. The living room had a sliding glass door we enjoyed watching the birds from the couch. Well kept landscape with nice patio furniture. Private backyard with grill and hugh picnic's table. Give this rental a 10! đ We will be backâ„ïž.
Cosy flat perfect for one person, a bit cramped perhaps for a couple
The one bedroom apartment is tiny, but is very cute and comfortable, and has its own entrance with an access to the garden. Nicely furnished. The bedroom is long and narrow, which is fine for one person, but might be a bit less than ideal for a couple. There was construction going on next door, so was noisy in the daytime. No dishwasher or laundry facility. Also, no space to store any dry food goods except on the counter. Fine if you plan to mostly eat out or for short stays. The neighborhood is lovely and leafy, and generally fairly quiet, although it is a busy street (even busier at the moment perhaps due to a detour routing through traffic from the Main Street). The door code was not provided to me before check-in, causing some confusion on arrival and necessitating a phone call. However, this was quickly resolved. Very responsive host. All in all, I enjoyed the stay very much.
The cottage was quaint and cute. It had everything we needed.
Our biggest complaint is that it was extremely bright in the bedroom all night. The neighbors left a very bright outside light on and the bedroom blinds were very thin and let all of the light in. Blackout curtains in the bedroom would be beneficial. The curtain in the bathroom was see through so we needed to hang a towel over that. The air conditioner did not get cool so it got a little warm even though we had a cooler stay. Perhaps an air conditioner in the bedroom as well for the really hot summer days.
Itâs nice that you offer bikes and we did utilize them.
If the window situation and air conditioning were addressed we would happily stay again.
Thank you for opening your home to us.
Sometimes photos don't quite tell the story. I didn't realize that the entire unit was cooled by a large window air conditioner installed just above the sofa bed -- which meant that anyone sleeping there would have rumbling noise and cold blasting just two feet over their head, while the person in the bedroom would need a fan blowing on them. As Cape May gets very hot and humid, the AC had to go full blast most nights. Also there were a LOT of ants in the kitchen, crawling on the floor and counters. I wasn't too upset, as ants are common at the shore, but maybe an exterminator could help. The kitchen is very, very tiny and cramped -- no dining table or regular chairs just a small bar-type table and counter stools. It was really hard to cook anything besides scrambled eggs and coffee. I will say that the unit had been very well-cleaned.
