Small house completely renovated, surrounded by an enclosed garden with swimming pool shared only with the owners.
Enjoys a privileged location 2 minutes from the heart of the village in a quiet environment with shops nearby: bakery, butcher, pharmacy. A very friendly market takes place twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday) on the village square. The restaurants will allow you to discover the local gastronomy.
Halfway between Aude and Hérault, you will be able to appreciate our pretty region rich in activities (ballad, excursions, bicycle, canoe), in history and in wine landscapes.

We had a lovely stay in Capestang. The property and pool are both charming and nicer than the photos. The neighbourhood is safe, with shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Nathalie and her daughter Pia were very welcoming and shared very clear communication for check in and check out. Some downsides were the uncomfortable furniture choices in the living area - the sofa is really not relaxing - and the lack of basic necessities such as toilet roll, salt or dishwasher tablets. Toilet roll is actually listed as included on the property description so it's not ok to expect guests to buy this. Overall, a lovely stay and I would recommend this place to others looking to explore the Languedoc.

Attractive property, but with qualifications

This is a generally well equipped and pleasant place to stay in a good location for the exploration of the area. The house furnishing is modern and comfortable, while the pool and garden, which are shared with the owner and family, are pleasant and very welcome amenities. The aircon is limited to a single unit in the main bedroom, which is effective but leaves the rest of the property feeling uncomfortably warm in hot summer conditions. Contrary to the website description, there is no on-site or dedicated car parking.A week before our arrival the hostess informed us that she required a Euro 350 cash security deposit on arrival, which is not mentioned on the Vrbo website. Vrbo customer support advised us that this is a private requirement beyond their control, and they can offer no guarantee as to the security and performance of this arrangement.

The pictures dont do the lovely location justice, such a fantastic house, host and location. Highly recommend Brewery within walking distance, fabulous restaurants within walking distance.

Beautiful property, lovely location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this well equipped and spacious property. Our host (and family) were very welcoming and offered some good suggestions for us to visit. Beziers was an excellent town to see, just 20/30 minutes away by car (or bus) and there were some great places to eat in Capestang itself. We particularly enjoyed Brasserie Oppidum, just a few minutes stroll from the property. The week flew by and we’d wished we had booked for longer.

Lovely property in the heart of Capestang

We have spent a very relaxing holiday in Nathalie and Emanuel’s lovely Gite. The location was ideal with access to restaurants and bars nearby. We had access to the owners garden which contained a beautiful swimming pool and was a pleasant place to relax after a visit to the beach. Nathalie was always available if needed but she respected the privacy of the guests. The nearest beach (Narbonne Plage) was a 30 minute drive away. Our favourite restaurant “La Vauban” was a 10 minute walk away and there is a good artisan ale bar “Oppidum” just 100 meters away. Thank you for making our stay st your Gite so enjoyable, we would not hesitate to stay again if we visit that corner of France.

Lovely stay

We stayed for two weeks at the beginning of July. The gite is exactly as pictured and described. The pool is a good size and there is a shaded area for relaxing and eating. Capestang is a nice village with a good choice of restaurants and bars just a five minute walk from the gite. There are two supermarkets, Lidl and Intermarche, which were both a ten minute walk away. There is a bus stop close by and you can catch a bus to Beziers for 2 Euros.

Modern, clean, central to Capestang, super access to shared pool

This is a great modern, clean and well equipped property located in grounds of owner. Own entrance and parking is good and the location to explore Capestang and Canal du midi is great. The shared pool in owners garden is amazing with access between 10am-6pm. Owners are nearby and helpful. Local amenities are great. We enjoyed exploring Narbonne, Beziers, the beach (Gruissan Plage), as well as Gorge D'Heric all within an hour drive. Overall, a great property! Thank you

Charming

Located near the centre of the old village, near several bakers and two or three good restaurants. The house is four years old and everything works, but the whole area retains an old fashioned charm. The Canal du midi is about 600 yards away. Nathalie and family were discreet but available next door when needed.

Great location to explore Languedoc, really good place to stay

Despite arriving very late, Nathalie our host made sure we settled in quickly & even helped organise our breakfast on Sunday ! Our daughter loved the swimming pool & the house had plenty of space for the three of us . Capestang itself is well placed to head to the coast, explore Narbonne & Beziers and spend time on the Canal du Midi. There are a range of restaurants & shops in the village and I liked the small market on Sundays & Wednesdays. All in all a good place and one we're glad we found.

Idyllic

A little hidden gem which exceeded our expectations. The photos don't really do it justice. The beds were comfortable (a deal maker/breaker on holiday I feel) and it was well equipped. Nathalie and Emmanuel were very friendly and welcoming and are always on hand if you should need anything. The garden and pool area is beautiful, we spent many hours reading, relaxing and swimming. The centre of the village is a five minute stroll, Capestang is a little piece of heaven!

Lovely property in Capestang

The property is very well presented & clean with modern decor, high quality fixtures & fittings & access to a lovely pool area. It is within easy access to the village centre with its shops & cafes & about a 10 minute walk to the Canal du Midi. As for the property, it is an old barn style stone building which has been sympathetically modernised to a very high standard. Windows are double glazed & have wooden shutters to most. The house is accessed from a side road & parking is within easy reach. You enter up a short flight of stairs into the open plan lounge, dining & kitchen area with tiled floors throughout. The kitchen opens out onto a courtyard with seating is very well equipped with granite work tops, Bosch, De Dietrich & Samsung "white" goods & a toaster, kettle, coffee machine. There are ample plates etc & there is a good range of kitchen equipment, ideal for catering at the house. The lounge has seating for 4, had a TV & also opens onto the courtyard. The house has WiFi, which is useful as mobile signal in the area is sketchy! Upstairs is reached via a lovely spiral set of stairs (suitable for children). The bathroom has a large shower & modern, high quality fittings. There are two comfortable bedrooms, one with twin beds, the other a double room, both look out towards the garden area. Outside, guests have shared access to a large swimming pool in the owners garden which is large, sunny & enclosed within high walls. All in all, the house is perfect for a stay in Capestang. The village has several shops, cafes & restaurants & a good market in the square twice a week. There are large national supermarkets at either end of town. Bikes can be hired along the main road, a short distance from the house. It is a perfect place to stay for exploration of the region, Beziers, Narbonne & Carcassonne are all worth a visit along with the Cathar strongholds such as Minerve. The coast is only 30-40 minutes away, where beaches are long & sandy. The old fishing towns of the Basin de Thau are quiet backwaters & make an interesting day trip. A great place to stay to enjoy the area, with friendly, helpful owners

Great location, very friendly people

We had a great time with Nathalie & Emmanuel. The house is recently renovated, pretty, clean and well equiped (dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave, tv, wifi, ...). The garden is beautiful and the pool is clean and large. The owners are charming and were kind enough to answer all the questions we had. We didn't see them a lot: they are very discrete :) Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub.Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und mit hochwertigen Geräten und Möbels ausgestattet.Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt, der Pool ist sauber und lädt durch seine Größe zum schwimmen ein. Die Kinder hatten jede Menge Spaß. Die Vermieter waren zu jeder Zeit sehr höflich und hilfsbereit. Capestang ist eine kleine Stadt, 2 mal in der Woche findet ein Wochenmarkt statt auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Bäcker und Restaurants sind Fussläufen zu erreichen. Auch bieten sich die Lage an um Tagesausflüge zu unternehmen und sich die vielen hübschen Orte und Städte anzuschauen. Der Strand ist ca. 25 Autominuten entfernt.Für uns gab es keine Mängel.

Capestang und Umgebung

Das Ferienhaus entspricht den Bildern. Die Ausstattung, insbesondere der Küche, aber auch Fenster, Fensterläden und so weiter ist sehr hochwertig. Der Pool ist bemerkenswert, Salzwasser und aufgrund der Größe auch wirklich zum Schwimmen geeignet. Natalie und Emmanuel als Gastgeber sind sehr zurückhaltend, aber immer zur Stelle, wenn man Fragen hat oder Hilfe benötigt. In Capestang gibt es einige sehr gute Bäcker und Restaurants, die man bequem zu Fuß erreichen kann. Es ist auch ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt, um von dort zum Strand oder ins Hinterland zu fahren. Zahlreiche Städte wie Montpellier, Perpignon, Bezier, Narbonne und einige mehr sind sehr gut mit dem Auto erreichbar.

Nice family house

We had a great stay with this nice family. Capestang is a small village and it is a good starting point for trips in the area. The house and pool are very nice and we enjoyed it very much. Perhaps a small point of interest is a comfortable couch inside or lounge set outside. Design furniture is nice but not always that comfortable.

Ein Kleinod in einem kleinen, französischen Weinort

Wir, 2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder (9, 11 Jahre), hatten traumhafte zwei Wochen in Capestang. Das liebevoll renovierte Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und super sauber. Die Küche ist mit sehr guten Geräten ausgestattet, die Betten gemütlich, der Sitzplatz außen lädt zu Abenden bei Kerzenschein und einem guten Glas Wein ein. Der Pool ist natürlich ein Highlight. Hier haben wir viele Stunden verbracht. Die Wasserqualität ist perfekt. Nathalie und ihr Mann sind sehr freundliche und angenehme, diskrete Gastgeber. Wir haben den Austausch sehr genossen. Capstang ist ein gemütlicher, kleiner Ort und perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Strandtage oder Ausflüge. Rundum erholsam.

Schöne Ferienwohnung mit Poolbereich

Gut ausgestattete Wohnung mit Pool-Mitbenutzung. Alles in sehr gutem Zustand, hochwertig renoviert und sehr sauber. Es gab sogar eine Flasche Wein im Kühlschrank. Die Vermieter wohnen im Haus nebenan, sie kümmern sich liebevoll um das Gelände und sind sehr aufmerksam. Zu Beginn haben wir eine Kaution hinterlegt, die uns am Ende des Aufenthalts nach Wohnungs-Check wieder problemlos zurückgezahlt wurde. Capestang ist ein hübsches kleines Örtchen, in dem man alles findet, was man braucht: Bäcker, Restaurants, Supermärkte.

Tout était parfait, location, propreté, piscine, dommage que La propriétaire soit très directive absolument pour tout et surtout la piscine, je pense sincèrement quil faut revoir votre contact avec vos locataires qui ne souhaitent qu'une chose, se reposer et non détériorer votre piscine... seule note négative sur les 15j.

Gîte de qualité remarquable

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Capestang. La location est décorée avec goût, très fonctionnelle et dispose de toutes les commodités nécessaires pour le séjour. La maison est proximité des commerces ce qui facilite la gestion quotidienne des vacances.
