My worst accommodations in 40 years of European travel

A dump. Shabby furniture. No towels. Smelled of mildew. I would never recommend this listing to anyone and it makes me reevaluate whether to use VRBO in the future.

Holiday in Carcassonne

The property is well located in lovely city. Easy access on foot to all the sights of this historic city and good selection of restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor with no lift - at the time of use the stairwell was damaged between floors 1&2. The apartment is quite small and quite cramped and only just big enough for 2 people. The balcony is nice. There were a few issues that have been reported in previous reviews and assured were repaired but were not. There were several repeated instructions received prior to arrival. Limited kitchen equipment for cooking/ eating but washing machine good. TV remote not functional and no other controls so TV could not be used during stay. Free and paid parking during stay in early October was readily available in street nearby during stay.

Bel appartement mais ...

Nous avons passé une belle semaine à Carcassonne. L'appartement est situé à la limite de la bastide Saint Louis, en plein centre et à dix minutes à pied de la gare. Nous avons bien profité du balcon, même s'il y a de la circulation sur l'avenue. L'appartement correspond à l'annonce, très propre et très joliment décoré. Les petits bémols concernent de petits travaux à réaliser : deux prises électriques non fixées au mur dont une près du sol (dangereux pour les enfants et les animaux), pas de bonde dans la baignoire, les tiroirs du meuble de la salle de bain très branlants. Malgré ces petites réserves, nous sommes satisfaits de notre semaine.
