Loud and poor bathroom

We had a nice room with 2 double beds with great views of the castle and stadium. Unfortunately, the bathroom had no extractor fan and the water didnt drain whilst in the shower/bath. This meant the bathroom was like a steam room once someone had a shower. The mirrors took an age to clear. By the time 2 or 3 people had a shower it was not worth going in there to look in the mirror etc. Possibly rhe worst part was the noise. The music from bars opposite was clearly heard until 4am. Sadly one of my friends cudnt sleep through it and had an awful nights sleep.

Needs a visit from maintenance

Hotel was smart, in a great location and the food in Browns restaurant was amazing. However, the condition of the bathroom wasn’t great. The extractor fan wasn’t working, the plug for the sink was stuck closed. The lever for switching from tap to shower on didn’t work at all. But since the bed was so uncomfortable there was no chance of a lie-in so we had plenty of time for a bath instead, or at least we would have if the plug in the bath actually closed properly so the water didn’t drain out in a few minutes!!

Unfortunately the room ac was not working and was on floor M which is the first floor so with window open very noise. Also looks on to nothing - room with pipes industrial ac units etc. not want I would expect from a Marriott. I asked on check in for a higher floor and they assured me this was an upgrade. Not very truthful.

Stayed overnight here. Nice room with everything in it and clean. Bed was good size. . Great view from the 10th floor. Plenty of elevators. We got a helpful young lady and reception. Beds even have a USB port beside it. Our GPS took us to the opposite side of the street and couldn’t find the way around town and all the one way streets to get there. I got partner to walk to hotel and asked reception for the parking address which worked out. Parking was easy. Breakfast ok but coffee could be a tough hotter.

Good location, competitive price, comfortable

In a great location, in the centre of cardiff, within walking distance to the castle and other local sights. Room is as you would expect for comfort. On the surface everything looked clean, however, the sheets and pillow cases on at least one of the beds didnt seem to have been changed, with dried nasal mucus on the sheets and marks on the pillow cases. The rooms are not particularly modern, but give you all you needed. Aside from the lady with tied back, long brown hair and glasses, the service from the rest of the front desk reception was extremely slow, as if it was their first day on the job. The lady, whom we unfortunately didnt see a name tag for, was making up for the lack of efficiency and effectiveness of the other staff. She is doing a fantastic job.

Fabulous room nice and clean tidy, beautiful bathroom and the bed was so comfy it felt like sleeping on clouds! Towels provided are nice and large and enough provided. The staff are so friendly and welcoming always had a smile on their face, always said hello. Check-in was so easy and checkout also. The atmosphere in the evening at the hotel bar was fabulous and again staff are so friendly and attentive. Definitely will be staying again Thank you.

Great stay away as always with lovely staff

Excellent staff on booking in, allowed early book in which was great as it meant we could watch the rugby after putting our things in our room. Downside was the air conditioning was not working in our room, extremely hot as it was 32 degrees in Cardiff. However they rectified the problem immediately by moving us. Very fast and efficient. Only one thing that slightly annoyed me was at breakfast there was NO brown sauce in the hotel at all apparently. Very minor but love brown sauce on my breakfast. Breakfast was top as always, room very clean everything spot on.
