Great hotel near Cardiff Castle!

Delicious breakfast - both buffet style and with a few other dishes you can order off a small menu. Room was super clean and the shower was fantastic! Definitely recommend this if you are visiting Cardiff - it’s 5 minutes away from the castle and 5 minutes to the train that can take you down to the bay. Everyone was so nice and it’s a good value for the money. Slight inconvenience- the parking is in a big city garage a few blocks away so getting your luggage to/from is cumbersome. But everything else more than made up for it!

Check in was nice and quick and included complimentary drink for the rooftop bar. Could pick up toothpaste when we had forgotten. Great location in the heart of the city.

We did not get to see the inside of the hotel, as we could not access the hotel. it was too far to walk and although I had asked for an accessable room, it appears that the instructions I had to 'park in the NCP car ark next to the hotel', noone had told me that the access was impossible to park. Even with the help of a police officer, I could not find an accessible entrance. In the circumstances I would like the hotel to refund the cost of two rooms, one in the name of my cousin, Vanessa Simpson and one in my name. To say I am disappointed is an understatement since this was an opportunity for them to see the city, having come on a trip from New Zealand. Angela

I told the hotel I am disabled and asked about access. I was told there was an NCP car park ‘right next door’. After driving around for at least an hour and even consulting a police officer, there was no way I could access the hotel in my car. Neither me or my party of 2 visitors from NZ were able to stay and had to find other accommodation. I am in contact directly with the hotel to discuss this matter. Nothing in any of the emails suggested that Access was limited to those without disabilities. I am very disappointed.
